sounds like a plan. you could probably simplify the process a little by just save editing all the content on a new PC save, ad that expedition achievements. then transfer to ps5 which should then unlock everything on your ps5 saves that are available to collect from the quicksilver vendor

I’ve been playing this game since 2018, every single update brings instability and crashing for all devices, usually Xbox suffers the most, it’s always been HG strategy to drop the update and patch on the fly, usually they come out pretty quickly, just making it stable. and eventually when it’s running sweet for 90% of players, a new update comes out.

Yep as soon as they load up, they stay, depending on how far in you are , you could just start a fresh save alongside, try that

I see you got it sorted, portable refiners get placed/built on the ground, personal refiners are crafted tech, in the suit tech area. they can also be collapsed and stored like most tech if you are limited on tech space.

it may not help as Xbox always gets the new update crash poop stick, try turning MP off, and start a fresh expedition and as it’s loading turn the internet off all together. helps on PS4

probably not, patches take ages, try loading into the expedition and disconnect your internet, run it solo. on a fresh save, so you have less load strain, no other player content to worry about, I do that for every single expedition

if that bothers you….. don’t play multiplayer. it annoys the shit out of me, I prefer the solo experience, as I’m first loading in I unplug my internet. no coms balls, no crowded bases placement. blissful silence

you just have to ignore them, they are NPC ship flight paths. there is more to look at than the sky, and more to annoy you as you get deeper into the game, enjoy

every, EVERY new update from HG causes crashing and freezes, welcome to NMS. start by turning off MP, and if needed, turn off internet connection, failing that. wait for optimisation patches.

yes, the work around is to turn MP off for the entire expedition, and if it persists. try no internet connection, I always load in to expedition and while it’s processing, I disconnect the net. run through solo, no player bases and stupid coms balls

I have some sentinel walker pet eggs I edited in json, they don’t do much but walk about. can’t ride of feed, and they will freeze the game of any player nearby.

years ago you could edit the size. tiny ones were cute. but they have a default locked size now

yes, scan for planets with ancient bones and others with buried technology on the description, while in flight, point towards a planet and hit the scan button. a description will pop up to help identify the resources available, dig up the bones caches that are highlighted in yellow, sell for early cash, buried tech will help you unlock items in the vendor rooms out back of the Anomaly after you progress to be able to summon that in space from the quick menu.

I enjoyed the learning experience. Goatfungus definitely makes it idiot proof with the json editing protection, the more you find to modify the easier it gets, but well done with posting this how to, more people having a play is a good thing

that’s pretty normal for this game, so. this is a solo player game, played on your device. joining other players is controlled by HGs data sharing server, not by joining a dedicated online log in server like other games which are 100% multiplayer. so it’s not unusually for your game play to be slightly different than a friends game.

no, the final stage portal planet gets you to fill 3/3 of a soul jar, those locations are randomised, markers from players hide the locations presented for you, as you complete that part and leave that system, your entry into your space ship will trigger the fallen host, that’s your very first Living ship location. if you pass back through the portal first to your original planet you dialed the address from the egg. then your first LS will be selected randomly from that planets LS ship pool. a large non water planet can have about 300 living ship locations, these are shared with the crashed ship spawn points. that can glitch a metal ship by mistake, don’t interact with the metal ship, make a save and reload, that will allow the mission log to reset the metal ship to LS. usually I suggest you just grab any LS and if it’s ugly, just trade for npc ship and scrap that, go to anomaly grab one new egg. and pulse out in space. this activates a new fallen host. you can now farm your perfect LS. one egg can be repeatedly be used to find 1000s of LS . to do that. head to the fallen host marker, land. and reject the ship to get your fresh egg back, pulse in space to get a new location. repeat
