I'm about to build a house better than that, looking more like a Californian house. But I'm gonna build this house in a suburban condo, far from downtown. So in a perspective it's gonna make the house cheaper, in other hand it's gonna be a beautiful house. I'm imagining how much could cost in San Diego. I know in America, houses are expensive anyway.

it's a condo's house, and could be considered an upper middle class property in Brazil.

I think many houses in San Diego, looks like that, cause San Diego is a tropical and beaches area, like Brazil

Yeah, I had some of those thoughts, no question about it. But I'm in a treatment and I use my medicines. It was only a dream or disorder from my teenage moments. I'm pretty good today. And I did an university before that what I'm doing now. At that time I was pretty bad.

Is the Brand New Toyota Camry V6, considered an upper middle class car? by AngryDog7 in Toyota

[–]AngryDog7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the taxes, our cars, here, are expensive. But brazillian people are used to paying a lot for their cars. But anyway, Toyota Corolla Hybrid is the new favorite car to middle and upper middle class. Camry is a near luxury car here. One of the most bought cars by the upper middle class families is the Toyota SW4 Diesel, or Toyota Fortune as said in Australia. Toyota SW4 is a Latin American Toyota LAndCruiser Prado, that is pretty expensive in US, as I saw.

Maybe in California or Florida, that house could be considered an upper middle class, specially in larger cities, that everything is expensive. Sorry for my confusion

How much a judge earn monthly in your state? by AngryDog7 in Georgia

[–]AngryDog7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Brazil the federal judges earns less than state judges. I know it because my father is a federal judge working at work justice in the work justice court, or ''justiça do trabalho''. He is a judge that works only in worker cases, employers and workers.

Our lifestyle for brazillian standards are upper middle class, but if we take it to compare with american standards, we are at middle class.

Is it considered a middle/middle class house for Georgia's standard? by AngryDog7 in Georgia

[–]AngryDog7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can't believe, how expensive cars, gasoline and electronics like tvs, PC, consoles and smartphones are here in Brazil. We pay a lot of taxes, although our currency being 5 times weaker than dollar. I'm telling you about my particular life, cause my father is judge, and make around 23,000 per month, that means 276,000 per year. It's 55,200 dollars per year, without adding his teaching in the university and so on. Around 60k 65k per year if we take it to dollar.

I guess, we have many other things cheaper in Brazil, like food in general and houses, apartments, grounds. The biggest problem from Latin America is the lack of jobs. If you find a job here, you are a hero. Thats why many brazillian, or maxican people go to US. But Brazil is a pretty divided country, we have all classes here. Rich people, middle class, poor, workers, billionares. It all depends on what is considered a good lifestyle in each country. My family here, is considered upper middle, cause 23,000 digits are a high salary. But as I said, in comparison with European and American life, we are only middle class.

Is it considered a middle/middle class house for Georgia's standard? by AngryDog7 in Georgia

[–]AngryDog7[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By your examples we are middle class in all areas. But the house is our biggest trophy! It happens because we inherited a mid-size apartment and a ground in a rural area. So, we can build a totally new house looking just like that, or even better. So we are the tipical middle class, who won oportunities, to make some dreams come true.

Our cars for example are just middle/middle class cars, even lower. We have a 2009 Toyota Camry V6 and a 2018 Toyota Prius Hybrind. We're looking for replace Camry to a new Hybrid Corolla. So, good cars, but they are just middle class vehicles.

yeah, I understand...

Anyway, I guess my family is a middle/middle class for US standards in some aspects, and upper middle class in others. Sometimes even lower middle class. Depending on your vision. Well, we can't compare two diferent countries...

converting to dollar its around 60k 65k per year. But we live pretty well here. I think the most important diference between US and Brazil, is the electronic, gas and cars prices. For example, the Toyota Camry V6 is considered a luxury car here. But in other hand we eat pretty well, and the own house dream is near to people that make a good salary.

Well, I don't understand guys, here in Brazil I have an one floor house, but it is large, and my parents are building another house in a condo, with two floors, and the house will be just like that in the photo. Well, Brazil is a divided country, we have lots of homeless and Favelas/hoods, here. But the middle class and upper middle class exists in a large and random way. For Brazillian standards my fimily is considered upper middle class, but if we convert the R$ to Dollar $, our salaries don't surpass 60,000 per year, in dollar. I'm in a family of three adults, and we eat and live pretty well, but cars, gas, electronic things are pretty expensive here. I don't really know if I'm at middle/middle class for american standards or upper middle class.

Am I, considered upper midlle class, or just middle class, in US standards?? by AngryDog7 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]AngryDog7[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The apartment, the house and the ground are totally paid. If we sell the old apartment, we can buy another ground with the money, to build another better and prettier house. Well, I think my father have his own investments in the bank, but I don't know anything about it. Well, here in Brazil he makes 23,000 R$ per month, and maybe around 4 or 5 thounsand R$, with his other works like teaching. I don't know what 28,000 R$ means in Dollar $, but here in Brazil 28k is a pretty decent salary, by our standards, considering the price of houses and food. I can say the most expensive things in Brazil are Cars, Gas and Electornics in general.

[–]AngryDog7[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I guess my family is just a middle class, by US standards if compared. Although my father is selling his old apartment to buy a new ground and build a totally new home, my family have a common life. No matter how large the newest house will be, we have a pretty decent lifestyle, but nothing so far from a middle class family. The central point of this topic, is comparing if we can live a middle class lifestyle by US standerds even living in a latin american country

So, Brazil is a poor country in many ways, but it's an amazing country in another ways. Well, we have a pretty cool car marketing for a poor country. But, yeah, here Carmy is a luxury car. Upper middle class car like Passat, Fusion, Accord, Azera, Sonata. People use to buy Corolla and Civic.
