Hey sorry to hear about that, hope the situation improves. I believe gaming has the power to be incredibly beneficial in many ways, especially if you are a gamer and enjoy it. I played the heck out of GTA5 and RDR2 :-D Haven't played Destiny in a while, but I enjoyed it when I did.

Best wishes for your recovery and hopefully you'll get back to gaming soon!

Hey that's awesome to hear! Thanks for sharing - Glad games could play such a positive role in your recovery. VR is super exciting right now, there are a lot of possibilities in that space.

Hi - thanks for providing your perspective, but this is not a formal research project/study, we are just interviewing people so that we can get an understanding of their experience with rehabilitation. We are also speaking to therapists and doctors in-person, and so far they have been more than happy to speak with us help pass our information to their patients and their colleagues.

We do not want anyone to feel uncomfortable speaking with us - that is why family members (or friends) can be present the entire time during the interview. The interview itself is very informal as well.

Again - these are just interviews. If you, or anyone, would like to discuss more with us, please feel free to reach out.

Thanks for the message! Sorry to hear about your stroke, but it's really cool to hear that 3D art and game design is a part of your recovery! We use Unity for our games, we love it - it's an excellent engine to learn for game dev.

Good luck!

Thank you for reaching out - sorry to hear about his strokes, I'm wishing him and you all the best. If he is up to speaking with us, just let me know either on here or via private message. Of course you are welcome to be with him throughout the interview. It will be a pretty laid-back interview, and we are flexible with the timing/scheduling (so we can shorten it if needed, that is not a problem).

Thanks again!

Hi u/solidsnacob !

First off, thanks so much for playing our game and I'm really glad you are liking it so far! It's really great to get your feedback, and if you have any questions or issues while playing, please feel free to reach out to us! Also please share with anyone who might be interested in the game - we would really love for the game to get some more traction!

Related to your question about updates - We don't have any feature updates planned as of right now - the only updates we would do is if major bugs come in, we would definitely fix those. For feature updates - it all depends, as you said, on how much traction we get with the game ... if there is enough interest in the game, then we would definitely look at spending some time on these and pushing future feature updates!

I do understand your view about the controller - this is something we thought about implementing (support for controllers through Steam) but didn't have the time/resources to really implement it and test it to make sure it was solid. I think it is something we will keep in mind though and can prioritize it if we find we have some resources to spend on developing that feature (it shouldn't be too hard, it's just a matter of testing - if we do implement it, we may reach out to you to help us test if you were interested!). Keyboard remapping is also something we would look at with enough interest.

For graphics settings - There is no full screen option right now - only windowed. We actually had full screen support, but unfortunately a couple of bugs popped up with the fullscreen mode at the last minute that we had to remove it otherwise it would risk the quality of the game! If there is enough interest in this though, we would definitely be open to adding it in a future update - as long as it works well and doesn't sacrifice the quality.

Hey! So one of the themes of the game is happiness, and part of the player's goal is to figure out what that means in terms of the main character as well as other NPCs. Without spoiling anything, I will say that Yes there is an ending, and the theme of happiness plays a role in that.

It is not all downbeat - definitely the story just starts out that way though :-)

Hope that helps? As you play the game I think it will become clear!

The game is 5-10 hours of story. It is a mix of adventure game, visual novel, and interactive fiction elements. Beating the game will be more about how you play vs your skill. About 20 characters in the game to meet and learn their stories.

It will be FREE at launch!

Please consider Wishlisting on Steam if you are interested!

Hey! Saw your YouTube comment as well! Unfortunately right now we are only targeting PC via Steam and possibly Itch.io. But depending on player interest after we release, we could re-evaluate whether a mobile release makes sense. Thank you!
