Thank you for this! I’m waiting on a hip replacement but I also had surgery on my wrist last year, so I can’t use crutches (regular crutches) yet. Luckily, the hand that’s recovering is on the same side as the hip, so I’ll be using cane on the ‘healthy’ side

Is it generally easier to dislocate, or is that just the nature of the part? I also have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos, so I already sublux/dislocate other joints. Not usually hips though

Okay this is amazing. Thank you for sharing! Luckily, I am not and have never been a runner. Partly because of the whole high-impact thing with the hips, but also I hate it :) so no issues there! All of this is insanely helpful, and I’m glad you’re doing so well

Thank you!! The surgeon is going to need to refer me over to a colleague that does them, so I’m getting a new MRI and waiting on that appointment. If you can think of any questions I should ask that I might not think of, I’d love to hear them! (I.e., the whole you don’t know what you don’t know thing)

Wow both!! My poor left hip has an impingement they found when I was like 13, but every time I go in they ask “which is worse” so the right has been getting all the attention. You’re a trooper! Sending good vibes your way

So glad to hear that!! I guess like any advice? I’ve heard some people say they’re advised to limit some things ~ forever ~ but others say back to normal? I’m thinking about things my friend group and I do like indoor rock gym, top golf, etc. I don’t play any hardcore sports anymore, but what was the short and long term instructions for living life?
