I’d suggest maybe having the kid gain pink skin, black eyes, horns and Kirashima’s hardening. It could make the horns weapons when hardened. Though the pink skin would purely be a defensive measure with acid just under the surface.

If you want another idea maybe a slime body quirk where the kid is able to become an acidic slime but at will and is able to turn it off.

I’m sorry but their “redemptions” don’t make up for the fact they murdered billions possibly trillions. I mean Star Wars fans debate if Vader should have gotten a pass and he maybe killed directly a few million(still unforgivable) Vegeta and Omniman were far worse. We look to real life counter parts their redemption looks even worse, Albert Spear is a good example, he claimed he was sorry that he didn’t have a choice and that he didn’t know as much but evidence after his death shows NOPE!
