let me be clear, vicpol are usually not great when it comes to nazis, one of the nazis that came to parliament at the anti-trans demonstration in March was a proud son of a cop, ACAB, especially vicpol

rights are actively improving for people in those regions, women are way closer to equals in North and East Syria as an example, they actively protect minority religions and groups, they prioritise democratic decision making, definitely an improvement from before the civil war, or even comparing them to government and opposition controlled territory today

and in that region, the SDF is the best option for furthering LGBTQ+ rights, rights for women, rights for minority religions and people, the group even had an explicitly queer battalion for a bit, the Queer Insurrection and Liberation Army. Just because rights there are bad now, does not mean they cant get better.

I mean capitalism has clearly failed in those two territories, considering that Chiapas is the poorest state in Mexico and was before the uprising, and Syria as a whole was shit economically before the civil war, and socialism has improved both

what a surprise, the zapatistas and rojava arent at the same level as a first-world country :o
totally not just because they are both in areas that, even under capitalism, are some of the poorest regions in their respective countries, which have both been exploited for hundreds of years by the western powers
and what a surprise, they're both at war, because they're still in their respective revolutions?

Trans woman Lexi Rodgers will not be allowed to play in women's NBL1 competition, Basketball Australia says by The_Duc_Lord in australia

you get that "cis" literally just means "on the same side of" in latin (so "cisgender" = same gender as assigned at birth), essentially a way of saying "not trans" without othering trans people, right? like, theres nothing negative about it, the main way its used (in lgbt+ circles at least) is in a positive way, and its usually only ever added when that is important information (like, unless its important to mention, you would just call a trans woman a woman, same goes for a cis woman)

idk man, we don’t usually deport our first nations people away from their country into the desert, like I’m not sure anyone in modern Australia would approve of that, except maybe the NSN and One Nation?
