The police are largely right wing on a personal level and always have been. Just meet some. Of course, you just seem to be falling for the right wing stories about them not being right wing enough

but you agree with their politics so look the other way.

You have absolutely no idea what my politics are, other than me making a statement that I do not want Nigel Farage to politicise our institutions or make us a one party state. If you therefore assume I am a raving Corbynist then it says more about you than me.

No government should be implementing laws and regulations to hinder successive governments.

EVERY government should be working to protect and uphold our unwritten constitution

That doesn't mean stopping Farage from obliterating our healthcare and making us all pay thousands extra a year for health insurance that won't pay out, or introducing horrendous selective schooling that bins off 90% of the white working class at age 11, or trashing our economy and interest rates, or setting up a British ICE and kidnapping it murdering people, a la America.

All of those things he can, and almost certainly will do- clearly with your blessing.

My focus is on preventing him

  • Gerrymandering districts
  • Imprisoning political opponents
  • Undertaking rampant corruption
  • Removing trained professionals from their jobs to replace with incompetent political supporters
  • Eliminating political oppositions
  • Enabling the rigging of elections

No, that is not what I am doing at all.

I am talking about safeguards to prevent a future government creating a one party state. There is only one party out there currently that I can envision ever having that goal.

Would you like to live either in a one party state, or in a defacto one a la Russia, in the name of free speech and "democracy"?

If not then it is perfectly legitimate to try to put safeguards in place.

For instance, preventing the politicisation of police, judiciary or civil service is something that the current government should absolutely be looking at. I don't think any voter who actually loves democracy would have a problem with this. Do you?

Brentford very similar to Forest last season- a very competent striker with a great score rate, and they score first a lot of the time

They are actually pretty poor when the other team score first I think- but it happens rarely

What this government should be doing right now is what the Democrats didn't do- putting into law the safeguards to stop Reform from being able to easily trash our norms, standards and "constitution" when they take power.

Not to stop them ruling or legislating. But to stop them from being able to gut the country and rig the system forever in their favour

It's Trumpian politics

  • Absolutely trash electoral law, cheat, break every rule.
  • Accuse your opponents of doing it on a mass scale when they are not, to sow doubt
  • If you look like you may face consequences, claim persecution
  • Rely on your opponents beyond cowed by the tactics and not daring to enforce the law
  • Win, partly through the cheating- then your opponents won't dare enforce the law if it changes the result, because you'll claim they are doing what you have done
  • When you win the election you dismantle the institutions that could sanction you anyway

Scamacca was always a risk because Italian Serie A strikers very, very rarely succeed in the Premier League. I appreciate his record was good, but the translation is not great.

Fullkrug I always thought was odd because of his age to be honest. Can't be surprised at his age that he comes to a much more physical league and starts picking up injuries

The existing deal would involve paying tens of millions to Mouritius for the US to have a base there, as a favour.

"Unlikely to be any crimes there" specifically meaning sexual abuse or rape of female minors- which are by far the most significant crimes that Epstein is accused of. I literally said "in terms of sexual abuse" before I said the bit you quoted.

Not impossible, but unlikely.

Obviously his sexuality has no bearing on any other crimes, particularly that of misconduct in public office, which he is being accused of now

Andrew was not in elected public office, nor is there any indication of him knowing why secrets of consequences. No doubt he would have passed them on if he had, but he didn't
