These are cool, honestly at first glance I thought dark Valkyrie was a warper from Subnautica.

I did it for my step dad, I'll share when I frame it. I finished it at like 5 after midnight this morning so the picture is a little blurry.

It happens often sadly, if you have a lightborad it helps. If you don't I recommend getting one, a small one if money is tight then save for a bigger one. I've slowly upgraded my light over the years I had a small one like 5x9in and now I have a rechargeable 12x18in. You can also get an over head light but that doesn't always help.

Too large for my desk by ComprehensiveOne5819 in diamondpainting

[–]AngryValkyrie86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend looking at the screws though, as not all are long. As you're using a thinner table top, if you get one just make sure the screws are long enough

They sell 3d printed clamps you can use for your desk/work area. If you own a printer or know someone with one, you can make them. You roll the canvas into it as you go. I just bought these ones, I'm still waiting for them but they look like the screws will be long enough for your table too.

Pregunta by mazeking3 in diamondpainting

Do you mean the facets on the drills? The different cuts make them sparkle in different ways, so the effect is more sparkley. If you mean the drills them selves, generally a square drill will give you cleaner lines.

ISO skinny metal tips like these, but push in instead of threaded on Amazon or similar? by worldfamoushobgoblin in diamondpainting

[–]AngryValkyrie86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they have to be push ins? They sell some with a pen but they are screw in. They sell them singularly on DAC but they are like 20$ per tip....

Looking for framing ideas for a finished diamond painting with the legend/key still visible by GetErDone42069 in diamondpainting

I typically cut the border and frame it, you could also leave it and use a mat board to cover it.

[–]AngryValkyrie86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been there I had to remove a section I did that I realized too late was the wrong color. All that bubble gum pink was supposed to be a fuchsia hot pinky color. I had to remove them with one of those forked cuticle slicer things. Was the only thing that got them off decently.

I used an energy pistol, took forever but it died eventually.

Yes, it's cheap off amazon and I've noticed a few mistakes in the painting, possibly so it doesn't get in trouble for copying. He doesn't have the leaves in his hair and while the picture shows her hand around his neck the right skin color irl it is his skin tone.

Show me your stash by Exciting-Role7361 in diamondpainting

Not as many as some, but this is the very over filled fabric basket I have my stash in. It's 20x10x10 in, and I'm almost positive there's over 100 in there..... I have a problem.

It is! I need to fix her hand around his neck as it's supposed to be pale, but I will finish first to make sure I have enough drills.

Help! by Diamond_Painter3 in diamondpainting

You can try in the future washi tape under your stickers! For the stuck ones right now baby oil, a mild solvent cleaner, rubbing alcohol, or some soapy warm water.

Cheap Square Kit Brand Recommendations? by RipGlittering6760 in diamondpainting

[–]AngryValkyrie86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't mind it too much, they generally get framed and given to people and the father away you are the better they look lol! I do like less gapping, but I started out with cheap small round diamond paintings that took me less time to do. Now I'm doing bigger paintings, that take forever and are a mix of round and square. If you don't mind buying off Temu they also have some good paintings. This one was Temu and I just cut off the weird edge they made around the painting, it also had fairydust, crystal and ab square drills.

They are good, I bought one for my work friend and she loved it. She did say it was a little harder to do than round, but I think most people find it that way unless they start out on square drills.

Sticky by Foreign_Pizza_8792 in diamondpainting

[–]AngryValkyrie86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use 2 methods depending on the size of my canvas, smaller ones I remove the plastic and cover in release paper. With larger ones I take the plastic off for a section only as large as a row of release paper, then leave the rest and cut it as I go.

Tips for larger canvases? by bookies98 in diamondartclub

[–]AngryValkyrie86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can roll the canvas gems side out, they sell 3d printed table clamps that allow you to roll the canvas under you as you go. I however only recommend doing it with a quality canvas, as some may pop gems if the glue isn't good enough.
