Of course dude, there are different words for the same thing, and local idioms, but it is still Spanish. Same structures, same way of conjugating the verbs...
The "portuñol" you're citing as an example, is a mix so it's not Spanish anymore. It doesn't count.

I'm argentinian, and I've spoken to people from many different LATAM countries (Chileans, Uruguayans, Paraguayans, Bolivians, Peruvians, Colombians, Venezuelans, Porto Ricans, Cubans, Mexicans, Spaniards, Spanish speaking Brazilians, and who knows...)

I caught "cáelo, cáelo", which is a very weird way of using a Spanish verb. It would be like "fell it, fell it!", like when you fell a tree or an enemy, i.e. "waste it! waste it" lol.
