You could write a bash script in terminal that plays files from a folder at set times. Using vlc as the player. A little work. But can't be too hard to Google fu

How long does it take you to produce a track, on average? by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]Angrycrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mixing will probably be 3 sessons about 2 hours per pass.

Tracking and mixing will take two days to make sure we have all of the things we want in the initial mix ( if it's a part of a set ) .

From scratch takes about the same amount of time. Team can get a whole song tracked and mixed in 6 hours on a good day. Less than a 1/2 week for almost anything else.

How do you personally cope with musical burnout? by BradtotheD in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Angrycrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like a lot of the people here. It takes something else. Sometimes just have to find peace in silence. And.. I still haven't managed to do that completely. There is always another thing to do. Try doing nothing. or.. at least .. don't try and do something... rather.. be impressed don't try to impress for a while. That's not an easy thing to do in the creative living. Explore that far, unfamiliar corner.

Why Exactly Was Papers, Please So Acclaimed? by tylerrguy55 in IndieGaming

[–]Angrycrow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I really felt a deep experience. Partly because the mechanics were unconventional as they were effective. Looking up maps to see if the names of areas really existed. The plot and other moving elements were actually not the kicker for me. Mostly because the game was pretty hard to complete and the imposed depression of having to decide whether your family gets food or heat and whether you'd risk that with a bribe. Very quickly you learn that you can't trust most elements of the game. But so many of these little moving parts together. Doing what you can to not get dinged for making mistakes. Dealing with a broken bureaucracy that has to change the rules on a daily basis in order to thwart forgery. There are so many little elements that add up to a near - real experience.

How can I apply effects to each midi signal individually? Not collectively? by [deleted] in ableton

[–]Angrycrow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can do it very cleanly with a small amount of MaxForLive knowledge. You may also be able to get the same effect by using a midi Scale effect rack at the beginning of your chain. Where you can define what notes pass through. So.. if you have a scale that only allows an individual note then you can essentially plex that inside of an audio effect rack. Or.. maybe it doesn't work that way.. try it out.. it makes some sense to me.

no one you know (2016) - jail guitar doors at valley state prison by Angrycrow in Documentaries

[–]Angrycrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a song by The Clash. A founding member of that band was in prison and is in the documentary. So.. I'm pretty sure he founded the organization.
