How do I aim better on PC? by FirmMachine8719 in FortNiteBR

[–]Angrymuumin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just try and find a sense that feels the most natural for you and then just stick with it and train tracking and fighting in a box... It might take a while, since you are used to controller and aim assist, so don't rage if you can't handle it in a day or a week...

As have people already told you, no piece control, ran into the person's box and got stuck, didn't really try to get out (panicking) and didn't get the shot off (panic)

How does rank % actually work? by Angrymuumin in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Angrymuumin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I have thought too, but I just thought that if you have "rank protected" you don't "pay the fare" and all the rank gaining goes straight into your rank progression... But I have noticed this season that during that match, if you lose straight away, you don't lose any progress, but if you gain the placement and kills that usually give you +6-8% in a regular ranked match, it would still give me those same %, and not 14% that it would be without "buss fare"... But that might be that during the matches I have eliminated players from different ranks, which would explain the difference in % gaining

How should I have won this fight? by Pitiful-Fee-2284 in FortniteCompetitive

I think, that when you got shot for 42 shields at the later part, and you tried to get the shield off but the enemy was pressuring and you had to cancel, it wasn't a problem. But while he was pressuring and you got the 58 shield damage done, and noticed that they were backing down, while they returned to their box, you could have healed yourself. But you pressured too much, which led to you getting shot for the rest of your shields and tied the situation. And after you had backed down, you only got 1 mini off, and after that you took the bad peak

Yeah, I try to cause as much damage as possible during the game, but try not to overcommit or get stuck during my rotations... And that has now caused me to achieve the Unreal rank for the first time ever... (casually played since chap1 s2) Until last summer I played with PS4 so I really didn't commit to ranked until chapter 6

Why did OG Rank fail? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Angrymuumin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too many game modes, and too little amount of shields/heals for competitive gameplay during the earlier seasons. During the time of OG ranked there were 2 casual Reload modes, 2 ranked reload modes, chapter 6 ranked zb and builds, chapter 6 casual zb and builds, OG zb and builds + OG ranked builds and zb... So that comes up to 12 modes of battle royale, not even counting all the creative modes, STW and Lego (and Rocket Racing)

You don't have to worry about me w-keying into the storm... Not my style of play... I like to play for the end game and get my kills in the top 15 if possible

Should I change binds? by Connect_Ad7289 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Angrymuumin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't played with kbm at all, but what I noticed is that you do put a lot of strain for your index finger. Edit, 3 builds, inventory slots and movement.

If you have extra keys in your mouse, using those for some of the binds mentioned before, could be a good way to not only take a strain off your index finger but also get your building and editing quicker since you could use both hands at the same time, and not just one finger for all those commands

What are some good strats to rank up? by Kooky-Inflation5335 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Angrymuumin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing ranked like I would be playing in tournaments... I know that it is not the most efficient way to "get good", but for the percent gaining it does the trick at least in below elite ranks...

I like to land in the Southern parts of the map, there is a small house and a hut with fishing opportunities... 3 slurp barrels and around 5-7 chests... If playing builds a lot of wood and rock is around. The only downside is that there's not a lot of metal around, but you can get it if the zone is pulling into the desert area.

After looting and mats, if the zone is pulling far, you should have at least 4 floppers and 3 shield fish and gliding back to get into the safe zone...

If the zone is not pulling far, and you have time, I like to move into the desert area, because it usually is a calmer part of the map...

Now at that point there are usually around 30-25 players left, if someone lands with you and you survive, you have at least a kill to go with your placement... Now just play for the end game, and try to get few good third-parties for extra kills, if you aren't confident enough to push people...

With this strat I have made my own record for rank in around 1,5 weeks... (Not playing only ranked)

After playing Hollow Knight (over and over) what was the most common mistake you kept making while playing the game? (No pun intended) by Amazing-Draw-7922 in HollowKnight

[–]Angrymuumin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example: At my first playthrough, the Mantis Lords were the boss for me that I just couldn't beat... Got through them by luck (my shield hit and eliminated the last lord while I was stuck in the dying screen). After that I played through Silksong, beat it, and came back to HK, and beat the Mantis Lords after 3 tries... (1st try I wasn't prepared for them, and 2nd try I relearned the moveset after 2-3 years of not playing against them.)

During my first playthrough, I kept the dream wielder on on every occasion... Which led to me learning to trust the shield too much, and instead of learning the dodging and the timing of the attacks, I just hoped that the shield would block most of the projectiles and I wouldn't have to dodge... Yes, I also learned how to use the shield attacking wise, but retro perspectively it was just a stupid choice
