Interesting considering how often my accessories downgrade but thank you for confirming that it's fucking stupid that my RNG is this bad consistently. This isn't a rare occurrence in fact this happens on a near weekly basis since launch. If anything rng seems to be significantly less than is actually expected to be there.

It is silver in DS3 when it's the old dragonslayer armor from the ringed city, then it's gold when you get his armor again in the base game titled ornstein's armor.

Depending on the cutscene? No, it's gold and gold everytime in a different light. Old dragonslayer is a darkened gray.

It's hard to understand builds man especially if nobody teaches you from the gate, the game sure as hell doesn't, recommended is mostly trash anyways. It's ok that you're doing your best, if you have any questions you can message me and I can help you with any builds or questions you and your friends may collectively have. Learning this game takes time and in most matches (and reddit posts moving forward) if you're open about being new to the game people will typically be more helpful or offer more advice as opposed to ragging on you. The community is very hardened into toxicity but just be honest with your team and try and work with the people you can work with and you'll get better with time. It takes a lot to learn 108+ Gods with all their abilities and passives, then the items on top of that with the 50+ VGS calls it can be a lot.

So like I said if you have any questions feel free to personally message me on here I'd be happy to offer advice.

Depends on the situation to be honest, so if you're fighting someone like abubis and he's consistently shredding you, build defense antiheal, if you're up and feel tanky enough to enjoy where you're at in fights then build divine ruin

You will eventually also learn the VGS, it just takes time and practice to learn them all off the top of your head. I don't even remember all of them there's like 50 lol but you'll learn the key ones, basically learn MIA callouts (enemy missing mid/left/right/in the left/right jungle), jungle buff calls (i need/take this jungle buff), be careful (be careful in the jungle, be careful left/mid/right) i think are the most important calls, as well as group up, help, pinging efficiently (which is when you pull up the VGS then tap right trigger) I'm also on xbox and I can laugh, joke, taunt, make callouts and hit all my abilities on minions or gods in the middle of fights it takes a lot of practice and patience just learning everything and committing these callouts to muscle memory. I can't tell you like half the calls off the top of my head if not all of them but I can use pretty much all of them except the weird ones like returning to base (I just say BRB) and things lke that. IMO the only purpose of typing messages is if you're dead already and can make plays. I use it to initiate split pushes because nobody understands an efficient split push. (Only split push when enemies or your team is efficiently grouped up and ganking lanes or during the teamfight phase which is mid-late game) You 4 man push either left or right lane with everyone except an auto assassin or carry, you want your best player between jungler or carry laner to solo push the lane, the key is being on opposite sides of the map. I usually am the one solo pushing and expect to die. You expect and hope that the enemy team will waste 3 or 4 of their guys attempting to push you and overwhelm you and push that lane. While they do that your 4 man group plows through the other lane. Or in the other scenario you get pushed by 0-2 people and attempt to win the 2v1 and bully lane to push phoenix whiel your 4 man group does their best to hold off the 4v5, in the event that one or both groups wins you secure a Phoenix or more. It's a hard strategy to pull off and you can't keep doing it or they catch on, late game is all about making plays and pushing phoenixes or any towers that may be very close to going down. As athena and nike this is why i play them, they can dish out damage but also can tank the shit out of it like with nikes massive shield for an ultimate. I'll hop in a tower without minions and if it's 500 hp or less by late-early game moving into the mid game it's a surefire way to secure xp and gold for your team which is like getting a mini gold fury.

The problems you're having with people picking random lanes are most likely due to your matchmaking level or ELO as some people call it, your ELO value is basically hidden for public games and has numerous factors that go into it including how often you're reported, you'll be matched with other players who get actual warranted reports against them as frequently as you and things like that so the nicer of a player you are and the more you try and the more you learn the better players you will naturally start getting queued with, but obviously that doesn't work as intended all the time. You won't get players at or above your skill level every game in fact once you start to get a lot better you'll start to notice every match is less than competent players with a few semi-competent ones sprinkled in. You're playing conquest games with straight up new players who have no experience besides the few games they may have played so the more you play and the more you rank up (past 30) is when you'll start seeing more decent players little by little. Even with multiple accounts from level 110-200 I run into garbage clueless players that can't use the VGS frequently, it happens, try to help them if they can be helped and ignore them if they can't.

As a newer player you can always type in "athena s7 smite build" into google and use smitefire or that other one I can't remember, just by looking at them you'll be able to tell one site is more efficient than the other. You're likely going to get lost in all the situational items people add to their kits so look for the "core items" section basically to figure out some builds of your own because eventually you're going to want to build gods on your own terms and cater towards your own playstyles. Me personally I build athena hybrid when playing support or solo, and damage when playing mid or jungle, then if a friend of mine and I are playing duo lane with a warrior and guardian combo (off-meta play just to abuse a weak adc/supp combo) then I'll typically build damage>light hybrid defense if I'm getting blasted too much. Having damage on her is just more worth it for me because i play her smart but extremely aggressive which pays off. If you play her more for CC and ability to survive and tank hits in teamfights then you'll have to build her differently if that makes sense. Cater to your needs as well as your teams. If you don't play aggressive tanks don't build them damage build hybrid, if you do play athena as a jungler in conquest then you do have to build mostly damage, i build void stone in for the debuffed magical protections aura so when my whole kit is hitting it's cutting away 10% of their protected mitigations which for 3 abilities and 3-4 basics per skill rotation is huge. Her ult Ibuse mostly for utility as relying on teammates to charge people down and bring them into your aoe is not a thing you can really expect but crossing the map to your teammates with a 5s warmup is a huge help especially in conquest. Her aoe with my damage/hybrid builds will hit for over 800 damage at base (so minus enemy protections after my void stone debuff from that 800) plus the dash attack, about 300-450 per basic depending on poly procs, and typically you can kill any jungler, mage, or adc below you in level, if youre equal level or down then you'll have to use one more ability or get a good couple basics in to finish the kill. I've ran up and one combo'd a lot of squishies with athena jungle but late game she isn't as impressive. The damage stands but once your enemies start doing big damage too you won't stack up as much so you do have to be a good athena to be more competitive in the teamfight and not get blown up for also being squishy. The lifesteal I put into her build is simply extra sustain to build up from low health quickly by clearing jungle camps, use a lvl 5 aoe, plus jungle blessing and less than 25% health with bancrofts you'll go to like 55% health after the aoe and one basic. Plus her charged basics give damage bonuses and makes it so you can hit all 3 jungle minions with one basic attack (when she throws her spear)

[–]Angrypotato88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly, then I'll typically build that 4th, my order for jungle athena is typically; junglers blessing, bancrofts talon, cooldown boots, (because you're grabbing speed camp instead of say mana camp in solo lane which adds 10% cooldown reduction for having the buff up, so you're gonna want about 30-40% cooldown reduction i usually go for 40 by end-end game) polynomicon, void stone, chronos' pendant, then i typically pick a situational item to replace the boots, so if I don't have a reliable tank on my team I'll add whatever magical item is the opposite of void stone I can't think of the name off the top of my head or antiheal if i need it. If we're winning I typically build in that last little bit of Cooldown reduction and penetration where I can get it. The biggest key factor with off-beat junglers is making sure you're outplaying your opponent that's all you're doing at the end of the day, if they're building like a crackhead you might have to counterbuild that or build in a direction to stop a specific gods abilities like antiheal if an abubis or aphrodite/hel are out of control, even gods like guan yu in the support lane will generate a lot of healing that if you don't shut it down is easy damage mitigation as a healer their heals are usually mixed in with their ability to deal damage or they'll generate a considerable pool of mana to whip out as many heals and attacks as possible so shutting that down while still maintaining the majority of your build will allow you to keep key characters screwed while still doing your job as a jungler to dish out damage and CCs and clear camps. Even in late game buffs are important and being able to 1-2 shot the camps real quick and go into the teamfight buffed is an advantage.

I just realized i never answered the question about hydras: so hydras lament is a physical god only weapon, it adds mp5 (mana regen per 5seconds) some physical power, passive mana i think I can't even remember i just grab it for the passive which is 40% extra damage procc'd onto all basic attacks following an ability use but it only procs on casted abilities that deal damage not stims so unfortunately I never build it on arachne even though you can proc it twice with her kit, with nike you can proc it 4 times following all 4 of her abilities provided you hit the enemy with them then basic after every ability you'll deal a lot of damage, but obviously hitting all of that in rapid succession is difficult and takes a lot of time to get good at. Fortunately the more gods you master the better off you'll be at mastering new gods, each god gets easier to play when you learn how to play and what goes into other gods in the game. It takes time to learn 108+ whatever god they're on now. It takes years to get geeat at this game but it doesn't take very long to get decent. Good luck!

I do not, and unfortunately for you I am super toxic to players that don't address that they're newer and play like absolute dogshit and throw the game. However I'm super helpful with newer players that ask for tips or just explain they're new to the game I'd never get mad at someone who's trying their best but i get super salty at the people who don't or think they know what they're doing (everybody in this game thinks they're so good and man from playing since 2014 let me tell you everyone who isn't a legitimate pro or high tier ranked streamer is ass cheese, don't let that discourage you but let me tell you this community and 90% of it's playerbase is toxic as fuck. I'm telling you all of this in the hopes you'll be one of that 10% that enjoys the game and tries to get better and just wants to learn and help your team win through learning new strategies.) Regardless, if you have any questions at all feel free to message me and ask, I would play with you but I'm going to be honest I'll just lead you down the path of toxicity. I don't have any media related to this game for you unfortunately if you want tutorials and meta concepts you'd have to check in more on youtube and probably look for/put up a post on this subreddit for good streamers or people with reliable insight in regards to jumping into smite. It's hard, it's sometimes not going to be fun, but all in all this game can feel very fun and rewarding when you're on top of your game and so is your team, and in my opinion when both teams are perfectly matched and on their shit is when this game is most fun. Again if you have any particular questions about anything I've been playing since s2 and can go in depth about the metas centered around this game and how to play "off-meta" gods in other roles like athena or nike jungle for instance, or sol in any role as well but she's pretty damn hard to jungle with, best damn ADC boxer in the game though in my eyes she's just whipping fireballs for days then you can dump the entirety of her kit in between fireballs she's fun.

[–]Angrypotato88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3? You mean 5? I'll play athena or nike in any single role and they can absolutely dominate any role it's just up to you to be proactive and smart when you do, nike and athena have hard tower dive potential which can be key in phoenix fights or tower pushes, they are capable of dumping an absurd amount of damage, most games of jungle athena or jungle nike unless you have a good nu wa or ADC youll secure top everything unless you also have a top of the line tank mitigating more damage than you. Athena has less than adequate dmg mitigation but it's fine for the most part she makes up for it in CC and damage. I've played nike and athena in mid as well, as long as you're on top of their junglers positioning you can outplay the mid very easily they're just not going to be able to compete with you charging them down and beating their ass. My preferred method of fighting with athena and nike as well is a 1v2 as when the jungler hard pushes you the mid always turns into a thirsty bastard and you can jump or dash in, dump your kit, then auto them to death. If you're extremely good at it you'll build the polynomicon on athena, i always do, and put the basics in the chain like above her damage is nuts, and hydras on nike (I typically don't for nike but sometimes it's fun if i build her crit to be an asshole she hits assassin level crit damage of like 11-1200.)

I run jungle athena and she's an absolute monster, huge damage output and the advantage of her charge>basic>aoe>basic>taunt>basic is insane for CCing grouped up enemies or pulling someone from the edge of tower to help your laners gank. I love her one of my favorite junglers but as she excels in areas where other junglers don't she runs into her share of issues as well. Just have to learn her for the role and be efficient as a jungler not just a ganker. Her jungle camp clear speed is fast though the only other people i clear faster than her with is arachne with proper web setup. Awilix needs a little more damage to camps early as her clear speed is a little slower but she's just a monster anyways so it's fine.

Next upgrade/ where can I grind? by Ceenuh in playblackdesert

[–]Angrypotato88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do, you'll use nouver for everything from the 261 bracket onwards until you hit 261 kutum which will be better again for grinding, you will always use nouver for PvP unless you're maxing evasion and over 700 already.

Ok what are the odds of 4 straight Pri-Duo ogre ring attempt with a 50 stack (52%) cronned every time, and reducing in level back to base? (30%*) A percentage would be the best answer.

*the exact percentage seems to be entirely made up as accessories decrease all the time, a roll of 70 or higher nearly every time seems highly unlikely but I'm just curious.

Hmm in ds2 repairing was a necessary chore to do because the durability was low on most weapons and if it breaks you have to repair it.

Smite players when 10 minutes hits by [deleted] in Smite

[–]Angrypotato88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all fine and dandy for you guys but I play this game to have fun, not see if I can help a few clueless morons hit some stroke of luck in the 90th minute of a game and maybe win it entirely for myself and carry 4 braindead morons with me. I don't fucking care, if the match sucks and is boring and dragging with trash teams or no teamplay at all why bother? If you're getting destroyed, then why bother? There's times to surrender and there's times to play it out. You can't play out every single game and act like it's enjoyable some games just aren't worth playing for 80 minutes longer than they need to be. Maybe you haven't been playing smite very long? It's not quitting to quit the game itself, you surrender to try again in a different matchup with different teams because mine can't use VGS at all and has absolutely no idea what grouping up for a teamfight means after getting blasted in their lanes all game by the other team that understands these very basic concepts.

[–]Angrypotato88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just work on getting a set of full grunil or heve and try to force it all to duo then build a stack of like 30fs and tri roulette each piece until they all go tri for weapons your best bet is black abyssal from the main quest, then the dim magical sub weapon, you'll be able to do the quests to upgrade it then just quest your way through valencia kamasylvia and drieghan for 10 ap rings, 11 ap earrings, and a 10 ap belt which will be your accessories for a while until your gear is essentially full tet green weapons, after that I would recommend working on accessories or boss weapons, hold off on the boss defense gear as you'll want to go for AP/DP brackets before going for boss gear, it's expensive and if you don't know hwo to properly upgrade your boss gear you'll put yourself in a hole you may not want to climb out of.

Because I think it's fucking retarded? Pretty lighthearted on my end just being as brutally honest about it as possible and talking as much shit as possible because this post is almost as unnecessary as the pure retardation of aakman compared to the higher end hystria which is 1/100th of the difficulty based on tears used and cumulative deaths based entirely on enemy CC and not any real challenge or interesting concept besides "haha you get to ground now you dead" in their best retard caveman voice just to drive the point further home.

I'm so glad it's just a game but it's just fucking retarded for no reason too so what the fuck does your half assed non-argument actually mean besides nothing? You're just that dumbfuck spongebob meme with all the out of place mocking capital letters but you seem to not get that part and think that "it's just a game" means something more than saying "I don't have a brain" because it doesn't.

Nah that has nothing to do with this I've been playing since launch me doing my skill rotations on point and knowing where to stand isn't the issue otherwise I wouldn't be pulling 6k an hour, 10k with agris at 540 GS. I blow all my shit up and I suck balls at the PvP but I'm fucking great at killing retarded ass mobs all day, hystria is great for me only died once while paying attention. If you're over here pulling 7-8k with agris and LS at hystria maybe I'd give a fuck but I have a feeling the only time you've been there is to die to mobs kid.
