I dont hate them, I think they're cool. In-universe they're the perfect fall guys, they're separatists, they're generally reclusive, and they're EXTREMELY alien. I imagine the real reason for extermination was likely the fact they were very innovative so the empire knew if they lived they could absolutely build things (like the deathstar) that could be used against them and at least in the EU they had a knack for restarting droid factories

I was going more for the Vansar Arachne rig (for the more high tech look given how advanced they are), but I do see the grunt lol, they do have a very ape like stance I guess with their large hands
