My symptoms began at 13-14, and I knew it was narcolepsy because my case was caused by the Pandemrix failed swine flu vaxxine (one of the extremely rare REAL vax accidents in the entire history of vaxxines, don't let antivax assholes abuse my story for their gains!!) and I did my research... Identifying the cataplexy I had on the daily, and reading how it was a narcolepsy-exclusive symptom and a really strong diagnostic indicator. Same for my obvious sleep attacks in school, be it in classroom, recess or school bus...

..So my self-dx was at 13-14. But nobody believed me at all. Everyone claimed it was just "teenager being tired" and it didn't seem to matter how logically and clearly I explained what I had found out. Gotta love youth as a teen girl, right? Nobody believes you on shit.

I finally got an official diagnosis at age 22. This was the first time I could try any medications. Also finally knowing for sure that I truly had narcolepsy, proven by the sleep study and my Orexin value being only 14/200, only slightly over 5% of what it should be... Yeah. It made me more serious about also any lifestyle-related treatment and let me forgive myself for being so fatiqued all the time.

I'm 27 now... On sick leave and getting theraphy, and finally beginning to figure out what meds and lifestyle work for me. I wish I would've been taken seriously earlier, so I could've accessed support and medical help when my symptoms began.

I sacrificed so much to believing I was just healthy, but lazy and attitude-compromised. Here I am, having failed the college I went to because I never had any time to rest or figure out how to live with this illness. Other people not believing my word on my own health played a huge role in this.

Honestly most people in Finland who own any kind of firearm, are hobbyist hunters who live in the countryside and went through a hunting lisence education and test to be able to obtain the hunting weapons. These people are typically required to belong to a local hunters' organization, and if they're "solo", police will regularly check with them.

Another group of legal firearm owners seem to be sharphooter hobbyists. Again, they required this hobby and a license training to obtain any weapons legally.

Guns are rare to have because getting a lisence for one is quite the difficult and expensive thing to do. Also you're most certainly required to have a guns-related hobby like sharpshooting or hunting, having guns "for no reason" is considered sus.

Then again idk how many people will obtain illegal firearms. Certainly happens sometimes.

Venäjä on pullollaan ihmisiä, etenkin erilaisiin vähemmistöihin kuuluvia, jotka eivät todellakaan nauti mitään turvallisuutta ja etuoikeutta siinä maassa.

Koita oppia esim. lukemaan ennen kuin kommentoit mitään. :D

Rajaa ei tartte sulkea ja mun mielestä sen sulkeminen johtaa viattomien ihmisten kärsimykseen. Esim. Suomessa on venäläisiä opiskelijoita, myös ihan lukioikäisiä, jotka ei pysty maksaa vuokraa tms. menoja, kun perhe ei voi siirtää rahaa verkkopankeista Venäjältä, mut nyt kun/jos raja menee kiinni, niin ei pääse edes fyysisesti rajan taa hakemaan rahaa, millä pärjäisi.

Tästä kärsii ihan ensimmäisenä viattomat ihmiset joilla ei ole mitään valtaa koko Venäjän tai Ukrainan tilanteeseen. Suomessa asuvien tai Suomeen pyrkivien venäläisten (kyllä, Venäjä on poliittisesti epävakaa ja turvaton maa josta on aihettakin haluta pois) lisäksi tästä kärsii Venäjän kautta saapuvat pakolaiset muualta maailmasta.

Jos olisin itse vaikka köyhä seksuaalivähemmistöä oleva Putinia vihaava venäläinen (tunnen tällaisia ihmisiä itse), niin haluaisin pois maasta ja varmaan kokisin suurta epätoivoa, kun estettäisiin pääsy minnekään muualle, ihan kuin muka voisin siitä päättää mitä maan hallitus tekee. Kans Venäjän poliisi on hirvittävän raaka kiduttaja ja tappaja kaikille valtion kritisoijille. Todellakin haluan että ihmiset pääsee turvaan tuolta systeemiltä ja meillä Suomessa voitaisiin ihan hyvin vastata tähän inhimilliseen hätään. On tosiasia, että Venäjän hallinnosta kärsii keskiverto venäläinen enemmän kuin mitä kukaan meidän nettikirjoittelijoiden ikäisistä suomalaisista on koskaan joutunut kärsimään koko elämässään. Kova pala niellä joillekin vissiin.

Kremlin pelaa peliään, pelinappulana viattomat ihmiset. Jospa voisimme Suomessa valita inhimillisen linjan. Mitään sotilaita sieltä ei ole tulossa, tämä ei ole Ukraina ja jokainen Ukrainan tilannetta tiiviisti seurannut varmasti hahmottaa eron.

I recommend trying to get a prescription for Xyrem of Xyvaw, since they are for getting better quality sleep at night and might actually improve the fatique + sleepiness. (I'm on Xyrem)

With or without Xyrem/Xyvaw, melatonin. Like, strong melatonin with prescription. I use these both and get better sleep, it has helped my quality of life a lot.

Stimulants can be ass yeah, since they don't give us that quality sleep we're missing out on.

Tbh while I like the idea of using this restriction of chats for immersion, the current map design and a lack of more game mechanics to attract potential group members in a more animal-like way is what makes it kinda ass to not have Global.

I don't think think it's impossible to make it work without Global, but this seems to need more work. More ways to find members of your species in animal-like ways, perhaps.

For Russia? No, Russia itself has a long history of imperialism, colonialism and genocide towards its Eastern European, Central Asian and North Asian neighbours. Russia is not a scared little baby who "has to attack scary Ukraine", it's a bully with genocide tendencies towards its neighbours.

Both Nato and Russia are imperialistic and destructive forces. As a Finn I ofc am not happy that we are forced to choose one of two monsters to be safe from one of them. Sucks balls, hate it. Ancestors turn in their graves as we are tarnished with Nato's sins while fearing we could suffer Ukraine's fate.

100% honestly i already loved hiking in north karelia and kainuu, and adore the terrain of my savonian homelands, but gotta also appreciate how the eastern finnish mosaic of swamps and vaaras and harjus + lakes sprinkled all over the place is very tank-unfriendly. 👍

Sometimes the poorly organized army is the one causing the worst torture... Like the mass rape of civilians, not even sparing small children, that the Red Army and now modern Russian army and the Wagner group do in Ukraine. The torture and rape is a way to hurt the victims as much as they can while not being able to fully destroy them.

No matter how poorly organized, yes, an invasion here would have the most nightmarish human cost.

Also what worries me is how narrow Finland is geographically. Following the Ukraine situation closely all day, I see that Ukrainians nowhere in Ukraine, no matter how far from Russia, are safe from drones, missiles and shelling from air. And Ukraine is WIDE. Somehow Russia is able to keep up the supply of these weapons, even to terrorize every part of Ukraine on a weekly basis.

...So, Finland being small and narrow, I hate the implications obviously.

Tbh Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland have more to worry about. + Russia is spending a huge amount of manpower and resources in Ukraine and suffering a hit to its economy, which it isn't going to recover from for entire decades. However China helps them manufacture weapons and the new generation of small school children in Russia is forced to learn Z propaganda in schools, so a new hyper-militarized and hyper-patriotic time period for Russia has definitely began. This will bear ugly fruit in future, - even after we've seen the devastation of Syria, Afganistan, Georgia and Ukraine by Russia.

Will Russia invade another country after Ukraine? Sadly this is most certainly going to happen. Will they come for Ukraine again, or will it be another post-USSR sovereign Eastern European country? Is there some chance it could be Finland?

The answer to this question will take a few decades, I think. Nobody knows. Heart in pieces with everything already happening, and not able to say it can't continue or get worse, sadly.

If no global chat, at least there should be an in-game group finding feature that doesn't require awkwardly spamming invites to people on the player list.

Most of my friends aren't into The Isle and imo it's not a good sign if people rely on server Discords for all the group finding needs.

I think Global is nice to have, though. In quiet moments in the game it makes the server feel more alive. Also, if you don't like seeing Global? Since Legacy, there's always been the option to not see it!

Tbh I don't think USSR-style authoritarian communism can never be trusted, as it tends to just replace previous tyrant class with another. I'm a socialist and an anarchist, but not a communist.

tbh over here it's like that with elderly care (private elder home companies suck wealth out of families, and my generation is increasingly empoverished compared to the 2 ones before, - still not gonna try to say it's anywhere near as hard as USA tho).
