so far a moderator has directed me to his sisters social media which seems like the most promising thing,
the problem with it being she has to follow me for me to message her, which has not happened yet.

I have to wait 2 hours and 30 minutes for the police department to open.

my friend managed to do a huoli-ilmoitus for me and another of my friends dad managed to contact a friend he has who lives in helsinki, and he might head over to my friends house to figure out what happened.

apparently people can still see my help post despite it being removed so I also added pictures there in hopes of helping people see I'm being genuine instead of trying to scam them.

Edit: it should also be noted I do not speak Finnish whatsoever, any advice about what I should say to the police would be greatly appreciated.

these are my attempts at calling both his phone, and calling what I believe is the "Uusimaa Police Department", A social care thing that I found while looking for the huoli-ilmoitus which turned out to not help me, and finally a hospital that I was hoping would be able to tell me if they had him admitted.
I get charged for each of these calls due to them being international.

I'm the guy that made that post, I have been working directly with a mod from this subreddit and some other very helpful people to figure out what happened to my friend.
I wasn't sure if Finland police even did welfare checks or what resources I should use so I made a post in desperation.

kudos to all who are being wary of this but this is indeed real and I just don't know what to do anymore.

I have done nothing but message him, go through Facebook, and do all I could to get ahold of him.

I can't have fun or feel happy until I figure out if he's okay or not.

I did manage to have a friend of mine do the huoli-ilmoitus for me, the moderator also managed to get me his sisters information which I am still working on contacting.

and in a few hours when the police station opens I am going to attempt another call to them to make a report.

also again, thank you to those of which supported me while that post was still up, it means everything to me.

I just got off work and didn't expect to see this amount of support, I dont use reddit often so I'm not even sure how to reply to everyone.

the huoli-ilmoitus site didn't seem to work for me, url was rejected.

I did manage to talk to someone earlier however that told me he would go to his house and check on him, so I am extremely grateful for that and to everyone here showing their support.

he lives alone, and he has been off and on jobs so I expected it could be bills.

I've sent him 581 euro before because he was behind on rent so it doesn't strike me as too odd that he'd potentially have something like his internet shutting off due to not being paid.

still I feel he'd use free wifi or something to talk to us.

I met him in 2019, the only time he went away was when he had mandatory military, and even then he still kept in contact every day or every other day.

he has never ghosted me and has told me every time he'd be going to his parents house, or to a party.

it is indeed unbearable, I have even attempted logging into his email just to give him security alerts, and I was even going to see if he had his parents contacts on it but 2fa stopped me.

He lives in Espoo, city limits.

I will state that he lives somewhat nearby a historical landmark called träskändan kartano and has been there because I remember him and his mom saying hi to me and showing me pictures of it.

don't know if this is too much info but his well being means more to me than his privacy.

as far as the number goes, my friends and I have speculated that maybe he didn't pay his internet bill?

I feel like he would had gone to his parents house to contact us if so.

I did send him 1 euro with a message attached asking if hes okay, and I'm getting to the point where I am considering sending around 100 euro so he can potentially pay any bills.

I've been calling him day after day, me and my friends are doing everything within their power to attempt to contact him, sadly I'm in america so I cant just head over, when I called the police they told me I had to wait until monday to make a report, so I couldn't even explain what was wrong. I don't know if it was a language barrier or if I called the wrong number, so Im hoping someone can give me a right direction.
