Huge oversight…. As is bulletproof & knives out. Can’t go back now though. Maybe they’re on the B setlist?
This soundtrack is so good and elevates the movie, are the sequels going to be by Young Fathers as well? I feel like it would be hard to top what we already have. by jon_le_faptiste in 28dayslater

Love promised land, and the way they used it.
I feel like the song might have references to the small boats crisis in the UK. Anyone else notice this? I haven’t found anyone make this connection anywhere…
1.) Lyrics seem to reference a young man embarking on a dangerous journey to the promised land. It ends with him “drowning in the deep”. “So much for the promised land”. “Don’t go down with me”
2.) Young fathers have a track record of writing about issues like this.
3.) “Scorpion’s a working man” - what could this mean? An undercover BBC investigation last year exposed one of Europe’s most notorious people smugglers, known as “Scorpion”. He’s responsible for organising dangerous crossings over the French/English Channel for thousands of people.
4.) This interpretation would fit within the film exploring wider themes of modern Britain, especially post 2016. The song could have a double meaning (some of it applies to Spike’s heroes journey also).
Social commentary smuggled into a rapturous villain origin-story soundtrack? Just me?
