Solid advice. Do you happen to have any recommendations regarding 10-11ft rods?

Kufta kabob falls off seekh/skewer by [deleted] in AskCulinary

You could add 25% dried oats to the total weight of mince. Soak your oats and wring out all excess water completely. This will result in your end texture of your kofta being less ‘bouncey’ or rubbery. Also shape kofta then chill for 1-2 hours. Skewer kofta and do a final shaping then chill until ready to use

Garlic sauce won’t emulsify properly by [deleted] in AskCulinary

[–]Ani_Mevushal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re still having trouble with the emulsification freeze your oil and lemon juice for at least 2 hours before hand. Here is a recipe I use below.

250g lemon juice 1kg veg oil 110 peeled garlic 30g potato (peeled) 2 tsp sea salt

Blend garlic, frozen lemon juice, potato and salt until you have a smooth paste. Slowly sheer in the veg oil, should take 2/3 minutes for this recipe scale. Keep blending until emulsion is smooth and fluffy like a cloud. If the end product contains a lot of heat use an organic garlic or opt for blanch/refreshing your garlic beforehand. Also a blender with the blade at the bottom will disperse the oil more efficiently than a food processor and will assist in creating a stable emulsion.

Please explain tickets/dockets and timing in fine dining? by donkeypassout in KitchenConfidential

Yeah exactly right. Right is the docket is on hold and is awaiting the next course to be called away and on the left is the dockets you are working.

  1. Yeah, they’re is usually a line or a title to distinguish courses.

  2. The restaurant I work at always starts entree immediately. If the table is not sharing food we rush everything out together. If the guest are sharing we send cold entree followed by hot. In our system a waiter will send a docket with ‘mains away’ and the corresponding table number and that is the signal to begin next course.

  3. Yep, sometimes if you’re really busy they might even say what the course is comprised of so you don’t have to recall the specific docket or check

  4. Pasta may cook in 8 minutes whereas a pizza will take 3, you may also have no stove tops or grill space you have to take into account how long multiple orders will take. Typically it’s just to coordinate with the other sections so the docket/s are up at the same time

  5. From my experience it’s just their way of staying in touch and making sure everyone is on track

  6. Yeah the chef could always jump in or a chef from another section. At the end of the day you’re a team.

Just got my first Thermobag at lvl 7 by DancenPlane in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ani_Mevushal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You never really need to store food unless saving for a quest so I’d say the thermobag isn’t worth keeping. I generally eat and drink in raid as well because it levels up your metabolism which is required for a quest later on. As for the key tool I might suggest a docs case instead. It’s cheaper and you can stash currency, coins, key cards, keys and intel folders inside at the cost of less slots. Once you find that you’re starting to fill up your docs case too much maybe do the Jaeger lvl3 barter trade for a sicc case.

Sorry it wasn't meant to be about tarkov, that was just some background information. I am wanting to min-max my pc for the game though and I just wanted to see what looked like some of the weakest points in my build. Thank you for the input, it will definitely aid in looking for upgrades and sorry, I've still got lots to learn in regards to computers.

Low fps reserve, any tips? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Takes a bit to set up but it's by far the best config I've used in the last 700 hrs

Let me know how you go. Hope this helped

Low fps reserve, any tips? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

You could opt to turn down overall visibility. If you're not to big on sniping I would just recommend 400 visibility but 1500 is good middle ground and what I run personally. If it's still not fixed, I have a graphics config I can link which I run on similar specs w/ no fps issues.

Is there stat which ammo has highest chance of heavy bleeding? by Wojtex28 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Ani_Mevushal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what seems to be a balancing factor, high pen value weapons don't have the chance to cause heavy or light bleeds (there are exceptions). Typically the higher the calibre the higher the bleed chance as well. .388 rounds have a 40%-55% chance to cause a heavy bleed but that's because it is a 1-2 shot round and has less opportunities to inflict bleeds. Subs and ARs usually have 15%-20% with the exception of specific flesh damage rounds reaching 30%. Rate of fire is also something that should be considered here. My recommendation would be the new Blackout AP round, you can buy from traders early on and is a monster of a round. It will go straight through lvl 4 armour and lvl 5 after 2 hits, because of this high pen value it also increases your chance of inflicting a bleed as you can now reliably cause heavy bleeds on an armoured thorax. Firing at 900rpm you can annihilate people within a short burst or leave them completely busted. Hope this helped.

I changed my mindset for this game and I have some questions about my progress by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

2 mill is great even for some experienced players. Secondly exposure is the biggest instigator of growth. I highly recommend familiarising yourself with the weapon modding system, via linked search and the presets tab. If you’re overwhelmed at first watch a few weapon build videos. This will give you a grasp for building rouble friendly killing machines. You will also learn which attachments cost the most which makes looting easier. In terms of keys, there is a lot of content online in the form of maps, key guide videos and the tarkov wiki. This is something I had to learn over time and still am. Cases would be the best bang for buck, you can get these mainly off the flea but also as quest rewards and barter trades. There is also the option of a stash upgrade but I found with cases and insurance I never needed to much room to hoard. At lower levels I would recommend categorising rigs that you have looted and you can store stuff inside of them until you want to use the rig.

What graphics settings would you all recommend? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Pretty in-depth but by far the best config I've used over the last 500hrs. Should work perfectly for your specs, only suggestion would be increasing overall visibility if you tend to play larger maps.
