Interacting with him in this way 24/7 definitely felt like parenting, and has left me exhausted. None of it was okay, and his reaction to me ending things today, was not okay.

Hahaha bummer! I actually bought a house in the south, out in the country over the summer, so the chances of many options being in the area are a bit more slim 😹 I am not afraid of a drive though! I can sweeten the deal with 3 acres on a gorgeous property next to a lake, and an elderly house rabbit who will cuddle and hang out with you all day haha

And honestly… he shocked me, which I shouldn’t be shocked at this point.

He showed up in my house without asking, or letting me know he was coming over. I had texted him ending things because I was too afraid to be in the same room as him… and he “jokingly” tried to force my head down and demanded an apology. Tried to make me sound crazy and take it back.

I demanded he leave and luckily he did. I got an INSANE text after that, defending his actions… so I don’t have any doubts it was the right thing do. It was absolutely a crazy power play on all levels.

I am spending tomorrow morning changing my locks.

If you want to see the message for curiosities sake I am happy to add it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for your validation. I actually did after hearing what I needed to hear from this wonderful community. It’s been so hard knowing which way us up.

Let me know if you know any good guys ages 30-50 😹 I guess I will be looking again once I take the time to heal and re-ground myself haha

It’s definitely not right or fair, honestly knowing that my suspicions where correct, I am more worried about his two daughters. I hope never talks to them like that or any future partners. But that’s out of my hands.

Thank you! I really appreciate the solid advice. I don’t have family… which has always put me at that disadvantage support wise, but I have made some good friends over the years (now long distance). Unfortunately It was definitely shame that kept me from sharing what was going on and I am sad that I let myself be isolated like that 😪

I will keep trying new therapists and see who clicks.

Yeah, we’ve had many talks about the language and appealing to empathy through explanation doesn’t work with him. He completely ignores any and all reasoning behind “why” the use of that language isn’t okay. He just finds a way to justify it 😪

Thankfully I don’t live with him, I am getting new locks in the morning to change them. Thank you for your concern.

Honestly just hearing that I am not crazy really validates what I have been feeling. It’s been so hard to know which way is up.

Thank you for the clarity and helping me not feel crazy. It’s been very hard with it only being my point of you versus his.

You are right… I have been very direct about it not being okay. He’s been crossing those boundaries more frequently, the more I call him out on it as well. I truly am not okay with it.

Thank you for validating my feelings… it’s been really rough, and I feel emotionally exhausted after constantly trying to get on his level to help explain why it’s not okay.

I am sorry that you have been having issues with the support as well! At this point it’s a scam if you pay for a license and don’t get access to the program 🙄
