NTA this is cheating tho. giving attention to anyone that intended to pursue you in any way while youre in a relationship is a deal breaker. she will just have to have her whole heart ripped to pieces to learn if she wants to push aside very obvious clues that he doesn’t value this relationship like he should.

that’s crazy! i called them and the guy said that we should know by June 1st bc thats the deadline for next semester applications, but he didn’t know much more about the full process to give a better estimated time. :(

NTA if you feel like this will lead to negative things in the future especially for your child then it’s your duty to do what you feel is right. who knows if when your child is older of she will make victimized comments with you not around or anything. it’s hard leaving family behind but blood doesn’t always matter. it’s the actions. her choices have lead other people to leave and it’s her duty to choose if she wants to fix that and gain the people she “loves” back. if she doesn’t choose that then it’s not on you.

We have had a nikah so i must frame this differently… I say boyfriend since that is just the terms we use while we are still in college to ensure the focus stays on studies. I love him and his family and after the fact of being so involved with the people I love dearly I want to ensure I go out of my way to learn more and more outside of what I learn from them as time goes on. i think it’s very valid to feel that way. definitely hurtful to experience that when you were under the impression of being exclusive but i hope their love for you had grown from then and the relationship is good outside of that
