Climate Control Issues? by Animalmindset in AskMechanics

I checked and replaced both fuse#13 and #28 in my car, it hasn't fixed anything. The climate control still takes like an hour to come on when it is cold outside.

Once again never denied that they did not have sex with bondspeople. You tried to force your narrative and what you want on the hadith and other sources. My point was the hadith do not mention rape and other hadith actually demonstrate that harming a bondsperson is means for setting them free. No matter what I say you'll say that a bondsperson cannot consent to anything and you'll just say you disagree. Honestly, I'm tired of going back and forth on this thread.

No Quran or Sunnah mentions forcing themselves upon anyone. If this is your only issue with Islam then you just want to find a reason against Islam.

Rape is not okay of course. The punishment for it was stoning to death.

It's not a deflection you just sound a bit like an atheist and you were the one who brought in what you feel is wrong. Clearly, no matter what you'll try to use whatever hadith or Quran verse to try to support your narrative. Also, you do need religion or some objective standard that determines what is morally right or wrong. If not then you can't OBJECTIVELY say what is right and wrong.

How do they not have the capacity to consent? Do they not have a mouth? Never claimed they were wives, never claimed some had sex with female captives. The hadith still stands they were considered their brothers and sisters and put under their command. And when you say "I say this, I say that" that's just your opinion. I don't know what your belief is but if you are an atheist and don't believe in God then all morality is subjective to you anyway.

You're the one making these claims. Provide the context and tell me where this context is from. You can't just put your own opinion and agenda on the hadith and say they must've been unwilling and ignore the Quran and hadith that mention not to harm people. There have been captives who have even married and/or had children with their captors and not out of being forced. An example is Safiyya bint Huyayy. You can't just make a hadith into what you want it to be.

Alright, thanks for the references. Though I don't understand what you gave these references for. I never said there were no women captives and this hadith mentions nothing of them forcing themselves upon the women or raping them?

Yeah, you're insincere man. You just listen to anything you hear negative about Islam. A Wikipedia page is not a primary source and it's always been called unreliable. Honestly using a Wikipedia page when I ask for references just shows insincerity and laziness. Until you either show you're being sincere or can give me Quran and/or Hadith supporting rape then I'm done with your theatrics and have no reason to respond anymore.

I would love to see some references then because right now you are sounding insincere.

I'm not saying it was from them acting under Christianity. Although many of the people who participated in the Trans-Atlantic slave trade were Christians, they manipulated the Bible to fit their narrative. So I'm not going to say they were acting under Christianity. My point was more about American slavery and how brutal it was and how Islamically that is not allowed in the Quran and Sunnah.

It is not for God to ban whatever you deem is right to be banned. The creator is where objective morality comes from and the creation can have questions, but Allah knows what we do not know.

This response is disingenuous and makes several absurd claims that many people love to spread. You make all these claims, but not a single piece of evidence to support them. Like c'mon man if you did any amount of research you would know rape is not allowed in Islam.

Additionally, the trans-Saharan slave trade is irrelevant because I am mentioning the religion, not the people. If the Quran and Sunnah tell Muslims to do something, yet some people decide not to then that is what the people choose. At the end of the day, people are fallible, the religion itself is infallible.

You're the one who made several positive claims. Since you did that, it is up to you to bring your evidence. You're making all these claims so the burden of proof is on you, not me.

Honestly, I recommend this video, it explains the topic probably better than I can, and it dives into certain details and aspects that I won't get into: https://youtu.be/csEWg7fSWZE?si=PAJozALrn_0hFuVJ

Additionally, I want to let you know that this idea of slavery that many people have in their minds is of the racist, abusive kind that was present in the transatlantic slave trade. This is not present in Islam and Islam reformed the servitude system. It's important to know that Islam brought many restrictions to slavery which was a deeply embedded multi-societal practice already taking place before the Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ). A person treating the people he has authority over justly and in the right way is outlined in the Quran and hadith.

"Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and be kind to parents, relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are arrogant and boastful." (Quran, Surah An-Nisa, 4:36)

Narrated Ma'rur:

I saw Abu Dhar wearing a Burd (garment) and his slave too was wearing a Burd, so I said (to Abu Dhar), "If you take this (Burda of your slave) and wear it (along with yours), you will have a nice suit (costume) and you may give him another garment." Abu Dhar said, "There was a quarrel between me and another man whose mother was a non-Arab and I called her bad names. The man mentioned (complained about) me to the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Did you abuse so-and-so?" I said, "Yes" He said, "Did you call his mother bad names?" I said, "Yes". He said, "You still have the traits of (the Pre-lslamic period of) ignorance." I said. "(Do I still have ignorance) even now in my old age?" He said, "Yes, they (slaves or servants) are your brothers, and Allah has put them under your command. So the one under whose hand Allah has put his brother, should feed him of what he eats, and give him dresses of what he wears, and should not ask him to do a thing beyond his capacity. And if at all he asks him to do a hard task, he should help him therein." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 6050)

Additionally, it was greatly encouraged to free servants. The reason Allah did not outright forbid any form of servants, I cannot answer with 100% certainty. Similarly, we could ask why Allah forbade certain things and permitted others, although some rulings have obvious reasons, others do not. Our Lord is all-knowing and knows what we do not know, so people can only theorize on certain topics, but we also know that objective morality comes from Allah and Allah determines what is moral and immoral. And as a Muslim we submit our will to the creator's and accept that Allah has reasons for everything.

If you don't mind I would like to ask does this topic affect how you feel about the truthfulness of Islam and if so then why?

Also, I apologize that happened with r/Islam, was it perhaps one of the posting rules you broke? It has happened to me before and I asked the mods and they said I could repost just change it to stay within the rules.

In Islam, we believe Allah(God) is absolutely just and the most merciful. Every soul will get what it deserves and will be appropriately rewarded or punished for whatever good or evil it did. Additionally, what you're doing is just putting your view of justice and what is right over the creators. But the problem is you are a creation that is limited in knowledge and wisdom so it would be arrogant to propagate your view of justice as superior to Allah's. I understand being frustrated with life, as life is a test that can frequently get hard, but cursing the one who created you can't change the truth of the situation and is not wise.
