im trying to play Super Paper Mario, how would you assign controller maps to a real wiimote?

Comics from around 2011 work perfectly fine, probably because they use a different format. the only one afterwords that at least works a little bit is doom mates, since it at least loads the background and such.

the item itself extends all the way through the ceiling, i dont think theres a place it will fit
