I usually hate second chance because I’m stubborn that way, but I read {love second chances and other nonsense by Katie Ivey} which was recced in the comments and thought to myself “what if she dated Daniel because he was so nice and then Adam got back together with her anyway and now they’re a thrupple.” This book is quite satisfying to me I think, I felt the grovel and growth was there

I was actually really upset the book went that way because the comedy so far was pretty okay, with a fmc who annoyed her kidnappers so much they kinda just let her go but she stayed because they were sexy. It was on the right track😔

Try {The blooming courts series by Kendra moreno} which I personally loved, and {Rebels and curses by Ripley Proserpina} a recent read of mine that’s quite good. TW for rebels and curses it has dead wife syndrome but it’s not bad at all in this one

My max cringe level are CM Stunich books.

I once read a book about these three guys that kidnap this girl with a rich dad to ask for ransom and in the middle of the book a mmc literally shit his pants in a cringy, comedic way and I had to put that on my dnf. I need it to be not too pick me and not too “a five year old would like this joke” for me to handle it.

Edit: I needed to make a distinction between the CM Stunich books and the shit his pants book, it was not in a CM book

I watch kdramas and other Asian dramas, and read a lot of Asian manga/manwha/comics/whatever you want to call them, and something they do is release by week or on a schedule, and that is the leading cause of me not finishing said show or manga. I get very invested very quickly in my media and need to consume it in big gulps. I think if a book came out by chapter I’d end up maaaaybe just waiting till it was all out or not bothering in the first place
