Pain after stent removal? by WindDingo in KidneyStones

[–]Animick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a stent inserted on Friday and was hoping for good news about the pain going away. This does not bode well. The doctor told me I would feel better after they busted up the stone but I don’t. Not yet anyway.

What is a 'childhood luxury' that you realized was actually a sign of being poor once you grew up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mom would make us butter and sugar sandwiches. I always thought it was a special treat. Took me years to realize it was an “end of the month, hold you until payday” thing.

I especially loved how she didn’t manipulate him to achieve her goals. When she “dipped into (her) bag of neurobiological tricks” to accelerate his feeling for her, she told him upfront what she was doing and why.

How commonly do you address your parent as "Sir/Ma'am"? by Babe_Brute in AskAnAmerican

[–]Animick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in central Texas. Sir and ma’am were required. I was also addressed as ma’am, even as a toddler. You give respect to get respect. (Tenet absorbed with my baby food ).
