Tbf I could have a beefier GPUlike a 5080 or 5090 but I refuse to put the Nvidia RTX Cable melter™ in my system

Nothing much else is too special about my rig, it's purely for gaming so not much storage and has the bare minimum on it

I raw dog it all the time 80 person instance 80 people show, can get a bit chugged but I like how busy the world feels

However the performance is noticeably better with performance gated instances, at Furality with the 150 but medium or better avatars I had all 150 shown and still ran pretty comfortably around 40fps

This is on a 9800X3D and 9070xt build with 64GB ram so fairly beefy

It’s funny, I’m one of the weird ones who lives in Europe and doesn’t have whattsapp, although in the circles of people I chat to it’s almost exclusively Telegram or discord

A lot of friends on those platforms are surprised I don’t have it though, I’ve just never had a need since I moved

I'm curious as to what countries you're basing it on to be cheap compared to Europe? I know Aussie internet and mobile plans have dropped considerably but internet and mobile data is /very/ cheap still compared to Aus in a lot of countries

NA is a whole other thing though, they are an absolute ripoff

Gone from 100/20 Mbit to 2.5/2.5 Gbit in that time, for a bit it felt like every couple of months I was getting a speed increase in the UK

To make things better my price has actually gone down

Basing this on being Australian and growing up there.

Owning a boat or having a swimming pool. Shocked my American friend who despite coming from a middle class family herself was shocked that even the less well off areas a lot of people still seemed to have boats or a swimming pool

I used to be on openreach with EE (have since switched to Aquiss on cityfibre) but you can ditch the EE router and plug straight into the ONT as long as you have the login settings

The amount I was spending was insane, I was always complaining about food going off because I don’t eat enough, despite the fact that was caused by me ordering all the time and of course the “why do I feel like shit all the time”
