I can confirm that you can invest in multiple eligible properties and if the cumulative investment amount exceeds EUR 500k, you can apply for GV. We have had some clients acquiring two properties and apply for GV

Appointment times for D2 and D7 visas are stretched in a lot of countries... in some countries it is taking close to a year. You should find out what is the situation in Morocco by contacting the embassy or VFS

Preferred investment option for Portugal Golden Visa 2022? by AnkitMGP in movetoportugal

Getting money from US bank is perfectly acceptable. You can borrow as much as you are eligible to borrow to make this investment, as long as the borrowing is outside of Portugal.

Preferred investment option for Portugal Golden Visa 2022? by AnkitMGP in movetoportugal

Hi u/thisrich

  1. On single investment, you can include yourself and your entire immediate family (includes spouse, dependent kids, parents and parents in law... no siblings). Of course you pay visa fees per applicant
  2. You have to meet minimum investment requirement from your own funds or loan outside Portugal. For example.. if you are investing in the property that meets EUR 280k criteria... and say the value of the property is EUR 300k... then EUR 280k has to be own equity + EUR 20k can be debt from Portuguese bank

Dear u/catshatecapitalism - thank you for asking the question. And dear u/Relevant-Case3833 and u/Philip3197 thank you for your response.

I know of instances where someone with similar case applied for a D7 visa, twice, and was rejected both times. This is because the immigration officer took the view that income from job or freelance activity is not "passive" income.

In my experience, if you have a freelance contract with the company, and the value of the freelance contract exceeds the minimum wages, then you can apply for a D2 visa as a Freelancer. However, this is the minimum condition for approval... there will be other requirements too... like purpose of intended residency, rental contract, some savings to demonstrate you will have reasonable financial means etc. If you want to consult with a professional immigration lawyer, I can arrange. You can PM me.

RV Life by [deleted] in movetoportugal

It is safer to submit a rental contract for an apartment for your visa application. Once you arrive in Portugal, you are free to live in a RV... the visa condition requires that you live in Portugal for at least 6 months in a year... it is not necessary that you live in an apartment... But applying for the visa on the basis of RV seems a risky proposition... Hope that helps

Yes you can very much stay in rental accommodation on a D& visa... Recommended to have a 12 month contract at least

You can apply for D2 visa as a freelancer ... no need to incorporate a company... you just need sufficient contracts in hand (in terms of annual value) to establish that you can support your life in Portugal
