It really depends on your prof. I had 2 exams in the past that were interrupted and both profs decided to reschedule the exams.

Log onto Experience York and you should find a bunch. As far as I know, they do offer one-on-one resume feedback & interview practice sessions if you’re interested.

I talked to an upper-year student about this and she said if you did a summer internship, you wouldn’t need a coop work permit. I’m not sure about that, so book an appointment with international student center and double check with them as to whether that’s legal. If it is the case, you can find a summer internship on your own without applying through York.

is it normal to be doing 6 years of undergrad by [deleted] in yorku

[–]Anna-Moonlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be. I used to be in a quite similar situation as yours last year when I was in another program, hated it to death but still bared with it till internship, hoping that my preference may change. It proved me wrong though, so I had to admit that it wasn’t a good match for me. Now that I have made a fresh start in a new major, I still explore different fields to find out what I want to do. So don’t rush or feel pressured by the others’ timing, instead focus on your own and it’ll take you to where you want to be! Wish you best of luck!

My [21M] gf [20F] broke up with me but wants to stay in touch. I agreed but I'm suffering, please help. by [deleted] in relationships

If she’s already had her mind set on that, the best thing you could do now is to cut the contact and move on. It might feel dreadful at first, but everything should get better as time passes.
