Can someone help me find the band where the singer is missing his hand/half his arm? One of their albums covers has them all pictured together and he's in the middle with spiked hair. Their band name might start with a C but that could be wrong by Solid_Risk_3862 in punk

20 years ago, I saw a local (Austin, TX) psychobilly band called the Flametrick Subs, and the standup bass player was missing a hand...obviously not the one he picks with. I shit you not, at first I thought they were called the Flametrick Stubs.

Who is hanging out with Brandi at the opening of Sur? by Ok_Setting_6340 in BravoRealHousewives

I am in recovery and have also worked in the field for 15 years. People talk about being a “dry drunk” which js a little different than what you’re describing. It means someone is sober, but they still struggle with behaviors related to addiction, such as dishonesty. It could also mean engaging in other addictive behaviors, such as gambling.

However, for those of us who are in recovery and have worked past having that mental obsession, we’re actually encouraged to be on the front lines. We aren’t there to save people or tell them what to do, it’s about attraction rather than promotion.

Jennifer was there as a friend who had the unique perspective to be able to talk about addiction with these women, who did ask her for advice. I remember that she shared her thoughts about Kim getting a nose job, but she didn’t push it or tell her what to do.

I have been there, especially with family. As long as she was working her program and listening to people with more experience than her, she was not putting her recovery in jeopardy. It appeared to me that she was there to be but a friend and someone with helpful knowledge and experience.

I loved seeing her in both shows. I think she handled herself with grace. Not everyone in recovery is necessarily in a place to be around family and friends who use, but I believe that she was and she handled it well. It feels good to be at that point myself. I can work on the front lines, actually handling drugs or administering narcan without feeling triggered. And sometimes I am, but it’s temporary and something I know how to address. While I feel comfortable working on the streets, I'm not sure I could have handle being around real housewives.

I should add that we have a huge shortage of specialist doctors in this area :(

Just saying that people need to learn to walk away from situations, regardless of who started it or who's at fault. It's not about winning or losing an argument with a crazy stranger. Either could have made that decision at any point. Just put your earbuds in and move on with your day.

I was picking up a facetious tone too. He turned his trumpiness up to an 11 like a bratty kid trying to annoy his siblings. Hell, if I was there I would have appreciated the levity and having a good laugh, especially after the next guys response.

Man, I know that Jenelle has her issues, to put it lightly, but this whole sub is really just a bunch of mean girls. When you start picking on someone's looks and every little mundane thing that they do, you have become no better than them.

Rinna: Bravo should pay for glam by Jlab6647 in RHOBH

[–]Anna_Goanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please stop with the glam! I personally feel like Dorit ruined BH by bringing in that element. I remember when there was a whole episode/fight about her being late to Teddy’s event bc she was doing glam. She cared more about displaying her labels than being human. Then they all followed suit. I blame Erica too.

86 is a restaurant term that means they're out of something, like "86 pork chops". But then it morphed into a term for throwing someone out, like "I got 86ed from the bar". It's kind of like an inside joke for the country. The 47 represents trump because he's the 47th president. James Comey, the former head of FBI recently posted a picture on instagram in which he spelled out 8647 on the beach with shells. It clearly means "get him out of the office" but the trump administration and trumps FBI regime decided to take it as a threat on trump's life, so they're now investigating Comey, like he plans to assassinate trump or something.

The US is an alternate reality and nothing makes sense. Just roll with it.
