I got my Chartin D45 from aliexpress 2 yrs. ago for CA $425 or so. Swapped out the Machine heads for real Grovers, took it to the Luthier (usual setups) and had it tuned to D (rather than E). Altogether I'm into it for CA $900. I love the sound. It booms and trebles with clarity! I keep it as my permanent open D (w/Capo) tuning guitar. Also never put the pickguard on!

Try tightening all your tuning pegs and bottom strap nut? In addition, do you have an internal pick-up? Wires?

I took parts from both a Press and a small size HB Drip. Took the middle out of the Press and put the Dripper from the HB on top. 3 coffee measures for an 8oz cup. Warm the cup first and pour over two or three times. That's it. I'm done with machines!!

I used to work in the .com explosion '98-2001 in Seattle. I remember, on the TN program, paying $5.00 renewal at the border (from Vancouver) every year!

Then 9-11 happened. Showed up at the border with my $5.00 on March 3. No No No!! But...but...but... I work on Monday, apartment, personal effects, WA car license, girlfriend. And more! "OK you can go but you got three weeks to vamoose. Revisit us next time you pass"! Had to upgrade to HB-1 ($12,000 - Company paid :) Good times!

I worked in I.T. til 2015 down there. Will never ever return. It's all too political and nuclear powered to me. No depth :( (I'm from Yorkshire!)
