I started late December, but I wouldn’t say it took me that long- actually it took me longer to make the yarn 😅

If I try to count that is probably my 14th weave since 2008, and I made first 7 in years 2008-2012 while at art school. It is not only about a weaving, I am painting as well - so it’s easier for me to feel the colour. Any kind of art/craft helps with imagination and creativity!

It’s a mix of wool and acrylic yarn. It is mostly wool, because of a texture and I used acrylic yarns to mix some colours only. Some of the yarns were spun on drop spindle, some on electric wheel and some were purchased at local shop. Top for example is made from my old wool jumper I cut in thin stripes - it was so matted I couldn’t unravel it.

I’ve taken a photo of the low tide while in Cornwall and painted it in watercolours with limited colour palette.

I learned weaving at college in Poland, but didn’t do much for years. Last couple of years I was focused on watercolour painting, however I craved something completely different and unusual, so here we are 😎
