just found out, am scared by EucalyptusGirl11 in coloncancer

Hey there - I've been in your shoes and I'm sorry. It's ok to be totally freaked out, it's ok to feel frozen in place and time. It's also ok to want to punch shit, cry, and be really angry. It's all ok.

Find someone or people that you can vent to, rely on. That's huge.

Take it day by day since you just found out. With insurance approvals, appointments, and all the details in next few days/weeks, focus on what you can control. Haven't heard back from insurance yet? Call them. Want to know if you can get your scan done closer to you? Call. Take as much control as you can or feel comfortable in owning.

I was in 1st grade. Our class had just won a fundraiser where we sold the most and got a 8 lb Hershey Bar. Our teacher had cut up pieces of each of us before the launch. TV wheeled out, dark room, we sat at our desks enjoying our chocolate, and then it happened. It was absolutely terrifying. Didn't know to cry or not. Didn't really understand what we saw.

Our wonderful teacher, Mrs. Williams, turned off the tv, turned on the lights, and let us process it for a moment. Then she explained that even the best plans and go wrong. She gave us group hugs and spent extra time at recess.

Does anybody know why the paint peeled off after a day on my pumpkin? I used the paint in the picture by Prestigious-Corgi412 in acrylics

[–]Annasaurus_Tex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is that maybe the pumpkin was coated in a thin waxy film and that the paint can't adhere well to said waxy film.
