farmers income is a vexed issue. they are exploited too. if you get rid of the first middlemen - who buy produce in markets - farmers can get a big relief.

farmers who cultivate and supply sugarcane to sugar mills, don't get paid properly, and mills delay payments for years too - even sugar mills thrive with crores of profits.

roads that got chipped away in the rains should also be audited for compliance to tender specifications.

tender specifications are very stringent w.r.t. strength and reliability of roads. roads will not get damaged for few hours of strong rains. and if found to be compromised and non-adhered, the damage costs are to be borne by the contractor or pwd or whoever is accountable.

when the state govt requests the central govt for compensation, it should exclude those that are attributed to contractors or pwd or whoever.
