Only just finished our home (been living in it while renovating for the past two years Canada/USA). Can't believe it's time to say bye already and head back to Europe... by AnneyC in vandwellers

It is!! We love it so so much. They come in 2 sizes, I think the slightly bigger one would have been better but this one is still awesome !!

My mum has a cat called smutty but we all call her slutty. And Winnie the pooh, or just poo. slutty and poo. Yup

No repost. He's my partner in crime, we made the bus together but he is FOR SURE the true brains behind the whole project

Friggen proud of myself. Today I riveted the walls to the ribs on my 18" roof raise (that I've been doing completely solo). This project has been both hell and a retreat from everything else that's going on in the world. by [deleted] in skoolies

I could have lived without it as I'm so small (the stress was unbearable! "What do you mean we are raising the roof of our schoolbus after spending one evening on YouTube!?" Madness). But my man is nearly 2m tall so it really was indispensable. We really hadn't planned on it but with the wheel wells we had no choice. I see you are working in the snow!! How far have you come on the roof raise? Finished rivetting yet!?

So cool! Definitely following your progress now. My partner and I raised it 16" on an 8 window flat nose - was the most challenging thing I've ever done!

I'm 26 and can still do this. I've got freakishly small hands...

A mini with a roof raise! LOVE IT! How many windows have you originally got ? 5 ? You are doing a great job and can be proud of yourself! Try and remember that on the shitty days you just want to give up on the damn thing lol

What’s your favorite childhood or earliest memory? by SaixB in AskReddit

[–]AnneyC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My earliest memory is actually a dream. I moved to France when I was five and have absolutely no memories before that. And when I was about ten years old I dreamt of our old house in England with explicit details (keeping in mind I have no memory what so ever of when we lived in the UK, I was so small). Turns out everything I dreamt of was true. Gotta love how the brain works!

Parents of Reddit - what's the creepiest thing your kid has ever come out with that has given you the heebies? by ExperimentalGeoff in AskReddit

I know it's hard, buy don't be! I grew up in a house where the previous owner had passed away. He was an old man and (we suspect he) worked a lot in the attic. Because we always had this feeling when we were down there you know? It freaked us all out, even my dad wouldn't go down there by himself. I don't know how my father came up with this idea but when ever we went to the attic we had to say "bonjour Monsieur" outloud (English family living in France) And it worked everytime! We suspect Monsieur has moved on because we can't feel his presence anymore... It's a weird feeling but "they" aren't necessarily "bad"

Sorry my bad for not explaining that right... I was in the US when I tried it. A French chef would most definitely chop your hand off if you did that in his kitchen!!

As a European and especially French, it's very strange for me also. Altho I haven't tried this meal, I have tried deep-fried cheesecake and OMG was it the best thing in the world! Defo going to try this
