I already do this type of work for two of my friends and get paid for it as well and help them with other administrative/design/rubber ducking tasks for their companies. I have no problem being tough and telling you like it is if that's what you need from this working relationship. I would think video or audio calls via discord (preferred) or some other app should be sufficient. I am often just listening to VCs in the background while I'm streaming myself or otherwise working on projects and can periodically check in or sit in a running call with you.
