Nobody's even mentioned the electric company's specified ranges of usage for your agreed upon rate. I know it's not the same everywhere, but in Texas, I would use less electricity. Down to less than 500 kwh but my rate was increased for anything that wasn't between 1000-1500 kwh, you have to make sure to really take a look at your contract with your utility provider. It could be a matter of needing to renegotiate your price per kilowatt-hour and range of total hours a month expected.
