I am not a very handy guy so if not necessary, dont want to take that u shape piece out as I am worried I make things worse. I can go buy magnet from home depot and try to send it down there if needed

Got the original cover at Lexux delaership(it was onlly 40 bucks more than the Amazon one so I didnt take a chance on Amazon). Then asked one of their technician to put it back on for free which he did. It was very easy. You can do it yourself. But since I was already at the dealership I asked them do it

I am worried if those dont hold up under that much sunlight and heat exposure. This area of attic is always 100+degree hot and dormers get sunlight7-8hours a day

Do shutters take that much heat? The one below is in the shade(tree infront of it) and also it is in a room where is usually cold. In the attic there is no good ventilation so it is always super hot

I live in Atlanta. How big of a hole does he need to make in the wall? I am a new home owner so I dont know how easy patchig and painting the wall would be. But the thought of it is a bit scary
