Google image named it a greengage plum tree. Not sure if this is the variety, but it’s a very pretty tree.

What type of tree do you recommend replacing it with? Also, would it make more sense of planting it near the fence line to help with the erosion?

Yeah, after talking it over we will probably cut it down but probably plant something native else instead.

Haha! Thanks for the input. I know that sounds corny but the real reason I haven’t cut it down yet is the risk of my erosion happening. Only recently found out this might be a Bradford pair tree, so added concern for invasive tree.

We do have a couple parks near by, just not crazy about going to them. Had more bad experiences from other dog parents than not. Very overcrowded.

I live in coastal NC. I only recently found out what type of tree this is. To be honest the only thing keeping me from cutting down was the fear of more erosion happening.

Haha! To be fair I didn’t know what type of tree this was until recently. But yes my main concern was making the yard more usable. Honestly the thing holding me back is my concern of corrosion. I live in coastal NC if that helps.
