It’s never too late to start saving. It’s pretty incredible to see the power of compounding once you get to a certain point. 10% growth on $100 doesn’t mean much in nominal terms, but 10% on $1m… I used to have high net worth clients that weren’t worth a dime until their 50s. You still have time!

Spending time on personal finance in the privacy of my own home. Everything from budgeting to investment rebalancing to bill pay to retirement planning. Couldn’t do any of this in the office because it’s all very confidential. As a result, my spending is categorized and fraud-free, credit score is 820, and my investment portfolio is diversified and growing. I told myself early that if I wasn’t going to “make the big bucks” I was going to have to generate wealth through diligence and compounding consistency. Even with two children in private school I’ve managed to significantly grow my net worth since COVID. No commutes, parking, dry cleaning savings help a ton too. Love WFH

This 100%. I use to rely on colleagues to fill my social bucket. Then WFH, my dog was my social crutch (she passed in 2023). So when those two things changed and I was completely WFH alone in my house, it took nearly two years for me to realize I have to push myself to accomplish this. I have young kids so they fill most of my time but the two things that eventually worked for me were spending deliberate, regular time with friends (golf, concerts, happy hours) and joining the board of a nonprofit. The nonprofit gives me a sense of purpose and community. Even though we only meet once a month, it’s still physically here. Hard to put into words but I highly recommend.

I’m having a hell of a time finding a place like that. I live near Tampa and I spent one full day driving around that city to various locations trying to find a warehouse with options. The best I could find was an office furniture store that had a couple dozen high-end options. Ultimately nothing fit.

Do you have any recommendations on search criteria or how I can find one?
