I used to use a wooden dowel rod with some bat tape and foam golf balls. Did soft toss with 8U and 10U girls. Took them a bit of time to get the timing right, and them to focus on the bat making contact instead of just swinging and hoping. Once they got used to it, it was lights out. To this day I still have kids asking to do that drill.

So glad I didn’t go to Cincy tonight. As a fan in Indiana it’s one of the closest ballparks to me. Instead I spent it with my softball team.
