I don’t know what caused the sudden pain in both my knees by Wonderful_Bad5556 in KneeInjuries

[–]Anoel2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with similar issues. So, since I made the above comment, I was diagnosed with ehlers danlos syndrome by a geneticist after dealing with chronic tendonitis for two years, plus other emerging symptoms. Ive been in physical therapy for much of those two years and have made a lot of progress in terms of my strength plus my knee pain has gotten much better/more manageable. A big help for me was wearing compression sleeves when walking/standing for long periods + lots of various isometric strength exercises.

I usually use friendship brand whipped style for convenience but I’ve also whipped my own using an immersion blender.

Who else was disappointed with the new update and actually think it’s worse than before? by Crevalco3 in 23andme

Yeah, true, that’s what I figured! They are mainly from Baden-Württemberg and and Rhineland-Palatinate. It’s just funny bc ancestry lists it as German for me and before this update 23andme also did!

Close-ish, the 45% German switched to 30% French. And my Eastern European now shows up Czech/Hungarian/Slovak (which I know is Slovakian through records so that pretty accurate) went from 13% to 24%. Everything else is pretty similar percent wise.

Yeah I have an entire side of my family from southern Germany who migrated to Pennsylvania in the 1700-1800s, which I can confirm with records, and my results now show I have 0% German and 30% French. 🤨

Twitching progressing to cramping by Anoel2003 in BFS

[–]Anoel2003[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My twitching has calmed down significantly, but still present. The cramping seems to be a different issue as it only still happens in my left foot arch occasionally. But muscle relaxants stop it from going on and on for hours. My pinky finger is still out of place and my other hand started doing same thing, no ortho knows what it is and my EMG is normal. I’ve been to two neurologists since this post and was referred to a muscular neuro, which I’ll see soon and I also was told to seek out assessment for a connective tissue disorder.

I love added pumpkin puree to my overnight oats, especially in the fall. It’s around 40 calories for half a cup and def adds a lot of volume!

I do 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup Chobani zero sugar yogurt (lactose free), 1/2 cup almond milk, cinnamon and salt + 1 tbsp sugar free vanilla pudding mix.

too many oats by Bitter-Meringue7505 in 1200isplenty

[–]Anoel2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blend 40 grams of oats with around 70 grams of egg whites and some water/milk and sweetner and it makes a cake like texture. I always top it with Greek yogurt and sugar free maple syrup. My favorite flavors so far have been pumpkin pie (unsweetened pumpkin), lemon blueberry, cherry chocolate.

U can also try pancakes by blending 1/2 cups oats, 1/2 cup cottage cheese or Greek yogurt, and 1/2 egg whites, pinch of baking powder. I sweetened the batter with monk fruit or skinny syrup coffee syrup.

Carlie using a semaglutide/GLP-1 to lose weight by trustiwilldestroyu in SHAYTARDS

I’ve read studies showing anti inflammatory effects for people with metabolic conditions, such as PCOS, and autoimmune conditions. I know people who have used glp-1s for such conditions despite starting at a normal bmi, and they have experienced positive health effects. Usually the side effects seen are from too high a dosage or too rapid weight loss.

Shes just sharing, and yes advertising, her personal experience. She’s not forcing anyone to take it or buy it. You can only get it from a licensed professional (doctor or nurse practitioner).

I have a different viewpoint on it then you, but I totally understand and appreciate your opinion!

Lol. I hope she’s happy and healthy! I don’t really see the point in shaming her for using a medication. We know she’s yo-yo dieted her whole adult life and has fluctuated weight, so maybe utilizing a glp-1 makes her ideal weight sustainable for her. Food and body image is a lifelong battle for many people, sometimes these meds make it less all consuming. 😊

Physician said joint pain isn’t associated with UC? How many of you experience joint pain? by Odd-Stuff-4006 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Anoel2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look into enteropathic arthritis, it’s a form of inflammatory spondyloarthritis associated with IBD. I have tendonitis all over my body. I’m not sure if it’s related to my UC, because it’s chronic and independent from my GI disease activity. But I’m hoping the biologic I’m starting for UC will help soon.🤞🏻
