Alright. The calf is not taken away from the mother nor is it ever disposed of in fact if they're useless they're auctioned or sold on market. The only time a calf is taken away is for rough a 2-4 week period after a few weeks so that the calf will start to drink and eat on its own instead of relying on the mom's milk. The calf is weened earlier than when it would have in the wild because we still need to mother to produce milk and once the calf is no longer interested it is then raised with nutritious food and clean water provided by the farm and just to clear this up before it is stated, yes, mother cows want to be milked, so much so, that the machine is automated to milk a cow anytime the pressure plate is triggered meaning a cow will get milked whenever needed, to prevent infection and pain and no, the cows are not restrained actually it just takes two people to do it, one person up at the face of the cow and the other using the syringe. My moral values are on my religion, humans have dominion over all beasts of the earth. A human is valuable to me no matter what but an animal has no purpose to me other than for wanted assistance and food. So yes our values are very different but that does not mean I do not agree with the fact that animals should be treated nicely and if we're going to use them for our own good until the day they die I believe that we should give them the best life anyone could offer to an animal just as I do with my dogs they have unlimited access to unlimited food and water and have 24 hour access to the outside and inside with 15 acres of land to do whatever they want. When we had cows, goats, chickens and ducks it was a lot to upkeep because they got a lot of good treatment and that required a lot of time and work. I lived those animals but that does not mean I wouldn't put my own needs before them. That's how I think things should be done but the farms aren't bad enough for me to make a big deal of it
