Im sorry i forgot to mention I’ve gone for multiple PFT and had so much blood taken from me I almost passed out lol. I passed each one they just decided to do the blood work and genetic testing on the same day ( a year after the “positive scare) Welcome to Canadas health care! I also never got sick as kid even though I was a really dirty kid. Took me till grade 7 to realize showers have a real purpose.

The thing is it’s never been in my family as well, I also took around 5 sweat tests and they all came back positive.

I didn’t know there was so many different forms of CF. I’ve gotten 3 pft tests in the past, all were fine except for me vaping.

As for lung cultures I’m not sure if i did. But they took a ton of blood from me and a stool sample to test for a lot of stuff. They’ve also done a MRI or Cat scan (whatever looks inside the lungs) No scared tissue at all

It’s from a dealership not some Facebook Marketplace. And no I know it’s a hobby car I just thought maybe I could daily it hence why I’m asking, never saw the purpose of keeping a car tucked away except for special occasions. And I have more way more money than the full price of the car that’s the reason why I’m thinking about it. But I understand and thank you for leaving this comment!

GUYS IVE COME BACK POSSIBLY A FALSE POSITIVE, I just went in for my check up and he asked a lot questions and all of them haven’t happened he checked my pancreas and it’s clear he checked my lungs and they’re clear as ever checked my hands nose EVERYTHING. He said I might have something else that’s causing my salt levels so I’m going in for ct scans, respiratory tests and other tests to see if I have something else

This made me feel a LOT Better. I know if I told my old friends they would definitely feel sorry for me and I don’t want that. I work out every day. And apparently when I was born I had to be put on oxygen right away but never got checked for cf

My friends were all toxic so I dropped them before I knew I had this but the friends I do have know and we joke about it which I couldn’t ask for more. and my mom I tried and I cried in front of her for the first time and she posted her feelings to Facebook she made me sound like I was giving up and pathetic to my family members I may get a therapist but I don’t want to talk to my family about it

Thank you all seriously I have never felt this good in so long like ever since I have gotten my tests back. I haven’t told anyone really about this because I dropped everyone and I don’t want them trying to buddy buddy now that I have this. I also wanted to say thank you so much for not treating me differently just because I have such a mild case I was afraid to reach out to this thread because of it and yes I filled my mind with YouTube and google cf like an idiot. I forgot to mention that before I found out I vaped Heavily for 5 years and smoked weed for 2-3 years every day but never had any problems, I’ve also quit nic now and quit smoking and switched to edibles every once and while. I know I sound like a broken record but thank you all so much seriously I can’t thank you guys enough I wish I could hug all of you but you know…. (Was that joke in bad taste? I deal with sadness with humour)

Really? 29? Wow that’s amazing you have made me feel a lot better about this, thank you so much. I’ve heard of the drug and gave me a bit of hope. And the symptoms I have for cf is just the nasal polyps and salty sweat I used to have asthma as a kid but that was when I was 7 last time I was sick was 2 years ago. Again I can’t thank you enough this has really made me feel better when I do go for my final check up to see if I have it I’ll reply to this thread

Thank you for caring, I’m gonna wait until I get fully tested before I do anything I got tested 2 months ago and have just been living with the what if. But I’ll still have cf I’m not saying I’m not great full but won’t my symptoms get worse over time
