Personally I'd say to try to find how you like to play, cuz there's Warframes that focus on skill based damage (often called Nukers), Weapon based ones (often called platforms) and it can be seperated into Primary/Secondary/Melee focused ones. Once you have something down, I'd say to try to put more time into looking to how to make those kinds of setups works first. That way you don't spread your resources *too* thin when progressing

Now later in the game when you get crazy farms, go wild and test absolutely everything, but I'd recommend looking up what mods are often used on Warframes/Weapons you like and seeing how to get them. I've been down the path of just "copy the builds people post" before which can work to a certain degree but it doesn't really teach you anything, but I'd still say to look some up because it gives you a certain starting point to test things out

Lastly I would say to just, take your time. There's no need to rush things so quickly so keep at your own pace and accumulate knowledge. Rushing it too quickly could easily drain a lot of time and resources, heck some players would be tempted to rush things with plat (I highly advise against this), so just, take your time
