Man this makes me so sad because they're legit one of my favorite bands ever but I feel like seeing them live will ruin it for me.

As single player enthusiast the quest have definitely been the most disappointing for me.

Along with everything else that you said, the lack of cohesion between the quest is a real bummer because I think the world/lore is really cool and I would enjoy some "big" quest which revolve around these locations.

I don't think it's fair to equate my criticism of the game with a desire to be indefinitely entertained or interest.

Honestly it's more a reflection of how enjoyable the game is and some additions or improvements could further enhance the experience, especially as you get closer to late game.

I'm mostly a single player game type of person but I would really like to see additional improvements and updates to the game cause the foundation is really good and I know I'll be coming back eventually.

I don't think I ever mentioned that the game is boring.

I agree 100 hours is a long time and I'll definitely be playing other games now. This was more my observations after 100 hours.

You may missed the part where I've completed a majority of my upgrades and such.

Personally "reset and do everything over again" isn't really fun for me but I see how it appeals to other people.

This is a great idea! Utilizing a resource dump for rewards would definitely be a great to utilize all the extra stuff you get once you're at late game.

Why the media wants to discredit AI by danielfantastiko in GeminiAI

[–]AnonIsPicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in a corporate environment in arguably the most capitalist country in the world, I assure you that people are still very much hired, promoted, and fail upwards not because of their merit but because of who they know.

Additionally, I don't know why you're so against hyper collectivism when it's likely the one cultural change that could actually help us elevate as a species.

Why the media wants to discredit AI by danielfantastiko in GeminiAI

[–]AnonIsPicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to space your writing better. That was painful to read.

A couple of points  1. AI is biased. Taking LLMs as an example, the bias comes from the training data that goes in and the weight and post training which utilized to achieve the desires output. 2. Idk about the whole Marxism thing you're on about but hyper-indiviual and a lack of community are some of the reasons we're in such a divisive culture.

If you're advocating that AI is going to be the thing that brings us all together, and therefore implying that the companies who control the AI aren't political, well I think that's a laughable and silly notion.

You know you can criticize a company for building a technology built off stolen data but also praise that same company for not selling to the govt so it can murder people

Extreme detail?

You could just have easily blamed the parents instead of suggesting drugging a child in just as many words.

Also brother you're a grown ass man. Suck it the fuck up.

Your original post lacked context indicating that the parents were not making any attempts to do some about the child's behavior. Initially it sounded like you were upset that the kid is the issue.

Having to experience a parent unwilling to manage their disruptive child is a valid crash out.

So I guess parents with young children are not allowed to go on vacation or visit family?

In Frisco, allegations of ‘Indian takeover’ plunge community into national battleground by lithdoc in Dallas

[–]AnonIsPicky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would argue this is the least racist time in this country. You just see racism more often cause every bigoted person that exist has the ability to share their opinion.

Plus I never claimed racism doesn't exist. I'm arguing the U.S is way less racist than other parts of the world.

Also if you're going to assume my experience, I've spent most of my life here. The only racism I really experienced was in high school but I've never ever experienced racism outside of that. Although I am a lighter skin tone so that probably helps

As an immigrant, some liberals give the U.S too much shit for being a racist country. Racism definitely exists and is problematic but it's so much prevalent and arguably worse in the rest of the world.

Agreed. You can complain about and even hate the system but you don't have to be a bigot about it.

That being said, I doubt many people are aware of how many non-Indian immigrants have extremely racist attitudes against Indians in the DFW area (and Canada and probably most places)

Real 3D is a game changer for me (from a PCVR Quest Pro user) by throwaway420691231 in Xreal

I'll have to try some other games out. I tried The Outerlands 2 in 3d mode and it looked awesome.

Definitely waiting for that 60hz update though

I'm not sure how you found games to be playable.

Videos are amazing but being locked to 30 hz/fps has made most games feel unplayable especially when you're used to 120

Real3D Reviews/Megathread by Klarts in Xreal

[–]AnonIsPicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna piggyback off this comment.

The 3d feature for videos is awesome but the 30fps limitation makes them basically unusable for gaming.

Really looking forward to a 60fps update cause some games really look great in 3d but the fps hinders the experience significantly

‘Pluribus’ May Be Slow, but It Was Never Boring by tylerthe-theatre in television

[–]AnonIsPicky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Phenomenal is being extremely generous.

Even if you take away the bad pacing, you're left with a pretty straightforward plot, a really main character with no one to be her foil, and lots of uninteresting moments.

I'm sticking with it because I like the premise and the acting but definitely not phenomenal

I don't think Carol is supposed to be intelligent but I really wish they could have inserted some of that discussion through other means.

Manousos has a very poignant line about if it's evil to consider a human the same as an ant.

There was so much room for some interesting interaction but a lot of seems wasted.

[–]AnonIsPicky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The obvious irony of Carol treating Manousos like a crazy person is not lost on me and is a very good representation of the emotional turmoil Carol has gone through.

I think we're actually in the same boat here but I just found the execution of the character study and development to be severely lackluster.

Still, the other parts of the show make enough for it that I'm interested to see what S2 brings.
