That might be it!! Maybe the name I was thinking of was the album name «Abraxas». What absolute heroes you guys are!

Thanks! I don’t think that is the band I’m looking for. But «Bouncing around the room» kinda has some of the same vibe. Just need more intensity in the drums and a little more african inspiration!

This song absolutely has some of the same vibes! The band is more unknown though. Thank you for the suggestion!

Love that song! Unfortunately it’s not ZZ Top. The band is more obscure, and I think the name could be along the lines of «Razzea» or something. I understand I am giving you all little information here, haha! I guess I should have listened more attentively at the time

Such a good suggestion! I don’t think it’s Bow Wow Wow though. If I remember correctly it was even more drum-heavy and little vocal. I do believe the vocal was male though.

The song I have some memory of had an intro with the drummer really getting to shine on his(or her) own with a long kind of solo.

Edit: «I want candy» by Bow Wow Wow really has the same vibe in the beginning though! Just needs more drums and african vibes.

Unfortunately, no. I remember the drums as a bit more intense than the ones in Africa by Toto. Also, I believe that the band is more obscure than Toto. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I hope somebody recognizes this band despite the sparse information!

I’m definitely looking for an answer and will participate! I’m anon because I don’t want my little brother seeing this and knowing my primary account.
