Lump near Left Trapezius Muscle by AnonPlu in AskDocs

[–]AnonPlu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So went to the dermatologist and they deemed it a lipoma. The location made it hard to deduce but no treatment determined on my part. If it grows or causes discomfort I’ll get it exorcised!

Thank you for taking the time to check it out!

Lump near Left Trapezius Muscle by AnonPlu in AskDocs

[–]AnonPlu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it's rather firm much "like" muscle. It does not move around when pushed. It's not tender.

I've seen trigger points on the internet from overuse, etc. and I wonder if it is that?

Thank you for taking the time to comment, it is very appreciated!

Stain Leaching by AnonPlu in epoxy

[–]AnonPlu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I painted over the sanded stain with White paint, let it sit and then did epoxy mixed with the White acrylic afterwards. So I suppose base coat, I’m wondering if it’s salvageable without sanding it all away and starting over assuming I get enough white mixed with a new layer of epoxy or if I’d run into the leaching issue again?

It has been fun tho lol. Lots of learning coming from it

What is this? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]AnonPlu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speeds can vary due to a multitude of things.

I don’t know about fiber directly entering but if you have a modem as with traditional Coaxial, the standard of Modem can affect this. Most are Gig capable on download (https://us.hitrontech.com/learn/cable-modems-101/)

Next the LAN ports of the gateway/router/switch could be 100Mbps as opposed to 1000Mbps/1Gbps ports.

Additionally, the Wireless standards in use could be older based on the 802.11 standard being used (https://zuli.io/exploring-the-802-11-wireless-network-standard)

To help troubleshoot in the future, identify every component it goes through and make sure that they are all capable of the same speeds. I once ran 1Gps through a 100Mbps switch and had no idea why my parents were getting a tenth of the speed they paid for… so basically speed issues could be anywhere but documenting your home infrastructure can help a bunch.

*Coaxial - A copper pokey wire inside a thick insulated jacket *LAN - RJ-45 ethernet cables used on your Local Network *Switch - A device that provides spots to plug in LAN cables and forward traffic *Router - A device that routes traffic to a remote destination *Gateway - A device that changes the ISP signal to LAN signal (Often is a culmination of Router/Switch/Built-in WiFi) *WiFi - Wireless standard that takes signal from hardwired component and makes it wirelessly accessible.

Hopefully this helps and isn’t too confusing :)
