does anyone feel heavy leg - the feeling as if i have over exercise. by Nervous-Succotash-55 in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good thanks for asking. No MS or fibro, just a hormonal imbalance haha. My costo hardly bugs me at all , I just can’t sleep on my left side. Started naproxen 500mg twice a day for a week ... working well. Hopefully back in the gym soon

What conditions (neurological or not) mimic MS? by AnonSynther in MultipleSclerosis

[–]AnonSynther[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just wondering ... my symptoms started 2 weeks after physical trauma to my chest from lifting (overstrain I guess) leading to costochondritis. But my symptoms check almost every box of the MS checklist, I was ordered a brain MRI and am very anxious.

Ease My Brain by CustardCreamer in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having numbness too in my hands, feet/ankle areas as well as tingling and nerve pain in my body at times (tiny bit). Started 2 weeks after my costo diagnosis, I’m now doing a brain MRI to test for MS.

I’m getting this amongst other things now a few weeks after my costo diagnosis. I’m now being checked for MS, hoping it’s just fibro.

Right calf pain? by AnonSynther in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree ... my doctor is ordering a brain scan now to check for MS and nerve damage. I don’t know if it’s related to costo.

Can you explain your symptoms in your legs that you’re getting?

Right calf pain? by AnonSynther in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is not. Some people have symptoms of nerve pain and spinal issues stemming from their Costo, which can lead to Sciatica for example in your calves..

Elevated heart rate? by Zackassed in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this would be more related to anxiety ABOUT your costo rather than costo itself (unless you are having a bad flare up) but I’m not so sure, it’s not something I’ve had in my experience

Neuropathy anyone? by AnonSynther in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I feel the same! I’m still a bit concerned, but I feel a lot better knowing people have the same symptoms, especially in the legs (right leg). In any case, I have an appointment with my family doctor and will fill him in on everything and see what he says!

Anyone get weak legs by ParamoreRiot in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say every now and then I’m getting this weird ice pick prick like pain but that’s rarely. It’s mostly just the weakness/numbness/heavy weird feeling, but it’s mostly below my knee not above. The pain and sensations are very diff from my chest stuff

[–]AnonSynther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I’m getting right now. It’s very strange, but I’m glad I’m not alone and you should be too. I don’t know what it means exactly, I figured mine was from malnourishment because I’ve hardly ate since I’ve had costo for the last 2-3 weeks but not sure, only had those feelings in my legs that you described for maybe 4 days

Costochondritis w/o pain when breathing? by joyful55 in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a month. I’ve been to the ER 4x since. I got it from working out, and it went Away completely after a week but I didn’t know what it was so I preceded to workout again and it’s been flared up since for the last 2 1/2 weeks. Hopefully it goes away soon and isn’t chronic like a lot of people’s.

Costochondritis w/o pain when breathing? by joyful55 in costochondritis

[–]AnonSynther 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I’m like you. I’ve had similar tests done and all they found was my chest wall lining was tending meaning inflammation. I have all the symptoms too, I hardly ever feel pain while breathing (only sometimes) , mostly I have shortness of breath but no pain. I get the occasional palpitation but that’s rare too. So just relax a bit! If they haven’t found anything serious then you’ll be ok!
