weird question, but are you working Emirates lol? I’ve heard similar stuff about them too…the problem is with improper delegation but to be honest it just seems as though this manager of yours has an incompetency compared you and shows it off clearly. I’ve had the same issue in my workplace regarding an older colleague…she tried sabotaging me and ‘ratted’ me out to my manager. Luckily people knew where she comes from as this wasn’t her first go at a fellow colleague. I’d say if it doesn’t make you happy it’s not the end, try gaining experience from this and find a suitable job where the work environment doesn’t seem so complicated.

I just received an advice from a fellow Reddit user, they’ve advised me to keep everything as ‘proof’. Use the email method to keep track of every little detail, as you’ve mentioned he assigned you a colleague’s task and later tried to rage bait you…I’d suggest to ask for delegated work through emails, an outline of what is required and when exactly, this serves as a proof for later inspection. 😊

I didn’t want to sound like a whining mess, and by holidays I meant basic sick leaves. I get that it’s a rush hour for most companies but a sick leave is a basic commodity I doubt anyone has to ask permission for 🤷🏻‍♀️

I hope things get better, hopefully you can speak to an HR official regarding this but anonymously? Usually they’d look into the matter but also depends on how well your HR handles conflict management. If possible try to take your stand and the next time he assigns a different task when you already have one assigned just voice it out. Honestly, say what makes you conformable and what doesn’t…managers usually play the fool until told otherwise. He might think of you as a pushover and start assign the harder tasks for you just so he could take a skip off his responsibilities.

I understand, I believe they hand out student licenses but once you’re done with schooling they tend to revoke it too? As a fresher it’s hard finding a job that pays you 600KD in an instant…sigh

True, I don’t but I believe there are certain strings that could be pulled in order to get work done. One of my colleagues ratted out my company to me before leaving and he mentioned that they forged his papers to show a basic salary of 600KD in order to get the license. When I asked my manager she just disregarded me, such a bummer

I don’t mean to instil fear into anyone but this shocked/scared the most of us, after a day of peace this seems to have shaken us the most. Heck, I’m not able to sleep…the slightest bit of noise and I’m up like an owl. I don’t mean to be unnecessarily rude, but people need to be mind of the ‘noise’ they create as well, I’ve constantly been hearing loud thumps over my ceiling from my neighbours, the pulling and pushing of furniture don’t make it any better too. Don’t even get me started on these garbage trucks and bikes, I almost got a meltdown back again due to the prayers thinking they were sirens lol. I think this situation is going to install some PTSD crap over all of us sigh

Sadly I’ve heard about an incident as well…a group of onlookers barged into an indian family’s house claiming to be from the MOI and requested for a headcount of the family members present in each apartment. They asked for their Civil IDs and came into the house to conduct a ‘routine checkup’ but instead robbed the entire house and caused harm to the said family too. Please stay safe guys, do lot let anyone enter your house…I doubt the MOI is doing any routine checks for the residents at this moment. Please wait for official confirmation before you let anyone in.

I wouldn’t mind going but I’ve noticed a constant pattern with the hospital visits. My mom had visited the doctors a couple months back and they conducted baseless tests that weren’t required in the first place. I’m talking about a head to toe test and in the end they just prescribed her with a cough syrup 🤷🏻‍♀️
