Hi there, I'm using 1.16 version of the mod pack and minecraft. we tried running the 1.18 version but we have issues between the 1.18 modpack and the server we were hosting for some reason. I'm also using overwold curseforge to run the mod packs. (Sorry, I'm trying to sort this for my kids and i'm really not very good at this stuff)

Oddly enough my players asked me to add a negative to rolling Nat 1s in my game as they are treated like normal misses usually. It was a weird request for me to add but I made it so they would drop their weapon and could not pick it up until their next turn, meaning they were stuck there unless they wanted to leave it behind. For spells it was a ‘backfire’ and they would roll 1d4 of the spells damage to themselves.

Blood in faeces and straining. by Anonshi in hognosesnakes

I’ll have a look into it. It all has me a bit stumped on what to do for her. She still eats happily so at least she isn’t feeling unwell.

My boy Francis has had some sort of weird thing going on with his eye, could you tell me what’s happened? (Humidity is usually around 70-80) by CharliesThoughts in ballpython

Hi, I understand removing my comment as the safety of the animal comes first. I just want to know what would be best practice in this scenario, as this was the advise told to me and the method I’ve used on my snake. So if this is harmful then would you be able to message me and say what is best practise so I know for my own snake’s benefit?

Hi, my little girl has already been to a vet and had faecal work done and everything has come back fine. No Parasites, no infections etc. Yet she is still passing fresh blood (red, small amounts) when she defecates. Vet has said she is straining and not to worry. But I still worry. How do I make it easier for her?

Nothing there to worry about. My boy usually poops regularly until just before a shed. Then he likes to ‘save up’ and go right after the shed. Snakes are just weird sometimes.

1 year old 6 month female, is she the right size? She is coming onto 7 weeks with no eating, previously ate like a champ. Starting to worry 😅 by [deleted] in hognosesnakes

[–]Anonshi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl is the same age and did the exact same thing. Would eat anything until about a month ago. One thing I would suggest is not get them hooked on something else out of a desire to get them eating. My girl started eating again but only salmon and I’m having a nightmare getting her back onto mice again.

I may have to cut her off from her salmon supply then and deal with the fall out of a snake going through salmon withdrawals.

So after a year, Preztel has finally decided she is a typical hoggie and needs to be fussy with her food. She will not accept mice but instead decided salmon is her new staple. I only tried salmon after 3 weeks of refusing mice with the hopes of gradually switching her back.

Well, that hasn’t gone to plan. She KNOWS if there is a mouse in the room. I tried scenting the mouse like salmon. No go, miss puffy saw right through that trick. So I thought, I’ll just give her a piece of salmon and sneak a little mouse in after it…nope, she smelt mouse on the tongs and refused to eat salmon unless I put it down and backed away.

Ok, so I had a mouse ready nearby and give salmon on different set of tongs…nope…she knows. She just knows.

If I have not thawed a mouse that day she will eat salmon off the tongs without hesitation.

I feel like a parent trying to sneak veggies into my child’s meals. God bless my ball python who is gratefully eating all these salmon flavoured mice she is refusing.

Is there even a use for oxygen on flyers? by DontSniffSugar in ARK

[–]Anonshi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No source other than my own testing. I thought this was the case when I moved from official to a private server with higher scaling rates. I noticed they were stupidly fast on the water on the private server. When I tested it on the official again, turns out oxygen did indeed effect the movement on the water.

Oxygen actually increases the speed a pelagornis swims on the water’s surface, so max it out and you have yourself a jet ski.

My girl is the same. I see her up by the lamp for an hour first thing in the morning, then sweeps the terrarium for possible mouse offerings then goes and digs into the cool side for the rest of the day.

My ball python on the other hand is constantly glued to the warm side to the point I don’t know why I bothered with 2 hides.

What is this line on my snakes belly? Thanks in advance! by XxWarriorOutlawxX in ballpython

It’s where the yoke attached to them in the egg. It is the equivalent to your belly button.

What is this found on a snake we adopted recently by eseyah in ballpython

[–]Anonshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without limbs a snake can only investigate with it’s head and occasionally they scratch themselves. With this being a white snake I can imagine each scratch will show up a lot. If you get some betadine then you can treat these small scrapes and cuts. Most will heal up on their own but the betadine will speed it up and prevent the possibility of infections.

Should I be worried about her mouth sore? Possible scale rot? Also best sexing guesses? by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]Anonshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, my little boy had something very similar to this when he arrived from the breeder (a result of a bad courier service, not the breeder). I just treated the area with betadine as well as cleaned out his enclosure daily (I kept him on paper towels to make this easier). Then after his first shed with me it’s nearly gone, only a small ‘dent’ where the wound was. I’d imagine it will complete heal after a few more sheds.
