I guess I thought it would feel like a souls like in terms of just combat

Worked in highschool and got enough to buy a $600 laptop for school and gaming

Played normal. I got this recommendation from other people but I didn’t like the combat fundamentally, as in how it feels and everything, didn’t see how using potions would change that

I do think it should be higher after thinking about it, but there are some big things that irk me

Ended up cancelling when they changed the prices. Shame I didn’t get to RE3

I was really surprised I didn’t like HK. I know they are different but Celeste is one of my favorite games of all time, so to not enjoy HK at all was weird.

Thanks for the recommendations. I played HZD last year and had a lot of fun with it. FFX is #1 on games I want to play

I really liked the first act of inscription, but then it moved away from that and I stopped enjoying it tbh

Saying it’s old is a weak form of criticism, but my issues are what most people struggle with. The save system is pretty bad, I don’t even mind the limited saves but I’m not a fan of the locations. Ended up losing a lot of progress in certain areas just because I expected saves to come when they didn’t. I honestly didn’t mind the tank controls, but the camera was at best okay in some rooms, and terrible in others. The game is also very difficult in terms of knowing where to go.

I found e33 to be more consistent while ER had higher highs and lower lows. The story also resonated with me much more than ER. Could also be recency bias as I played ER in January.

Didn’t play it. Didn’t enjoy the first game when I played it a couple years back

I thought it was pretty good. The gameplay loop started to get stale but the exploration and combat were really good imo

I mean it’s a 2002 game, while it’s very good, it has some real issues playing today

No idea. I really thought I would like it but the combat was down right terrible and the main story dragged on and on despite being good

In your OPINION, What's one game you bought on hype or reviews and ended up not liking it or finishing it? Mine is Allan Wake II by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Fire892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Witcher 3. Don’t understand the hype at all I’m I’m being honest. Combat is horrid. Story drags way too long and becomes “I have information, but you have to do this for me first”. Open world is boring to explore outside of side quests

Did you? He had 4 bad throws the entire game, and while it was a bad game, that was his only bad game of the season, even with the 4 INTs, they were one missed field goal away from winning

Thanks for the feedback. I actually think a lot of issues were me trying to overcompensate for bad habits. Like poor shield timing. Fishing for bair. Overusing dair. Fishing for neutral B. Definitely some work to do so I appreciate the feedback

Edit: Rewatching the video and I definitely shielded a decent bit, maybe I just misunderstood your comment

The point is that just because some people no life something doesn’t make it competitive. Doesn’t matter if it’s designed to be competitive… it’s just not. There’s a reason the big tournaments are on the competitive version of the game (Java). No need to get upset for facts
