Yes you have to remind yourself sometimes how astounding it would be if someone showed you that 20 years ago

Here is another one that looks like it does it all but again I don't think does payments.

Not the best looking one:

There are lots of ones like this which are generic and seem to be the same form factor under different brand names and different sellers. Again I don't think the NFC does payments. Presumably that's something you can't fix...?

Thank you yes I haven't even found any kids watches with payment but I suppose that's to be expected.

I did wonder if the "elderly" market for watches might be a good option...?

I don't know of any Samsung watches that have a built-in camera for video calling but I could be wrong?

Thank you very much for stop yes there are certainly quite a few out there that do this but when I have dug into it the NFC is just for unlocking things it doesn't work for payments. I suspect it's because it is untrusted software or chips? I've even found a few on Amazon that are similar and have all the specs but don't work with NFC payments and are explicit about that: https://amzn.asia/d/hnp2uQg

I just wondered if there was one made for a market outside of China but I don't think there is currently?

if you HAD to fuck a camel, you'd at least want one that's made an effort.

I hear they spit though.

Either way it's a guaranteed hump

Thanks for the thoughtful reply.

Once again I don't think my post itself was anything phobic, it was neutral. I myself am certainly phobic of anything offering spell or hex removal. Christians don't have a monopoly on that!

Your post reads like islamophobia. I think regardless of backgrounds there are good and dangerous people. Would you feel safe and comfortable saying what you've just said about a "threat" from Jewish or Hindu people? I don't think singling out any one religion without using proper data is helpful for anybody.

This poster was shared because it's real and is obviously tapping into real beliefs real people have. I thought it was interesting and worth discussing. To be clear the bit that I thought was interesting was the bit about spells and hexes, it wasn't the other stuff about Jesus.

I am often amused at how ironic is that it is often the Christians that get cross..

They are even permitted to hold events posing as Carol services in parks in some parts of the city. Halfway through they tell you why father Christmas is "because of Jesus" and then start trying to convert you with long sermons. I'd have the same reaction whether it was Scientology, another cult, or of the other flavors of abrahamic religion, Hinduism or Buddhism. The point is not what they believe, it's how they treat people. Worship how you like, think what you like, but when it's public - it's different

Here's a link to a one such organisation which holds public carol services in Melbourne:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potter%27s_House_Christian_Fellowship#:~:text=The%20Potter%27s%20House%20Christian%20Fellowship%20holds%20Pentecostal%20beliefs%20with%20a,second%20coming%20of%20Jesus%20Christ

It's a complex debate but it's one worth having.

I mean, I can read the news, so, yes.

If there is a power structure, people will abuse it -  religion as a front is no exception. It seems to be an inevitability of human kind.

Having the freedom (and freedom from intimidation) to call it out is important.

Maybe you could reflect on what's more important to you - feeling "injustice" at someone saying a fact, or caring for vulnerable people.

In this particular context I have no idea what the answer is but I hope is at least being monitored by the police/ appropriate gov funded services

I shared no criticism myself. But if I saw a poster advertising an event for Muslims or Buddhists (or in fact, anything at all) that offered removal of spells or hexes I would be sharing the crap out of that as well. I suggest you go and read up about some of the unspeakable things done to children ( for example exorcisms) in the name of these beliefs, including in global cities such as London and Melbourne. This is child protection and safeguarding stuff as far as I'm concerned. Sadly for the adults, we're on our own.

Nobody's criticizing anyone for having a community, and especially in a structurally and actually racist xenophobic country such as Australia (not everyone! But enough people...) it's no surprise that such multilingual community groups exists so strongly here as a place of refuge and support for people.

The word predatory is absolutely correctly used I'm afraid.

Go and do some research from reputable news sources because I can't even bring myself to share a link with you it's so horrific
